Vacuum Motor Protection
Turn vacuum OFF and unplug
from electrical outlet.
NOTE: The thermal protector controls the main vacuum motor only, not the brush motor.
If the thermal protector activates, brush and lights will continue to operate normally;
however, there will be no suction.
An internal thermal protector has been designed into
your vacuum to protect it from overheating. When
the thermal protector activates, the main vacuum
motor will stop operating. The front lights will remain
on, even though the motor turns off. If this happens,
proceed as follows.
When the motor cools for
approximately 30 minutes, the
thermal protector automatically
resets and cleaning may continue.
If the vacuum will not turn on or
the thermal protector continues
to activate, your vacuum may
need servicing. Contact BISSELL
Consumer Care.
Check for the source of overheating
problem (full Dirt Tank, dirty filters,
or a clog) and fix by following the
maintenance instructions.

Protection du moteur de l’aspirateur
Éteignez l'aspirateur et débranchez-le de la
prise de courant.
REMARQUE: Le protecteur thermique ne contrôle que le moteur principal, pas le
moteur de la brosse rotative. Si le protecteur thermique s’enclenche, la brosse et les
voyants continueront de fonctionner normalement; cependant, il n’y aura aucune
aspiration.
L’appareil est muni d’un protecteur thermique
interne qui empêche la surchauffe. Lorsque le
protecteur thermique est activé, l’appareil arrête
de fonctionner. Les voyants à l’avant de l’appareil
resteront allumés, même si le moteur s’éteint. Dans
un tel cas, procédez comme suit:
Le protecteur thermique s’enclenche à
nouveau automatiquement après que
l’appareil ait été débranché et que le
moteur se soit refroidi pendant 30
minutes. On peut alors poursuivre le
nettoyage. Dans les cas où l’aspirateur
ne peut pas être allumé ou l’interrupteur
thermique demeure activé, il est
possible que l’appareil doive être réparé.
Communiquez avec le Service à la
clientèle de BISSELL.
Recherchez la source du problème de
surchauffe (réservoir à poussière plein, filtres
sales ou obstruction) et réglez le problème
en suivant les instructions indiquées à la
section consacrée à l’entretien.
