Before First Use
Before your first use, wash the pot and lid using warm soapy water. Run the appliance with
water once or twice before brewing an actual pot.
Note: ALWAYS keep the bottom of the ‘Boiler’ and the ‘Support Base’ dry.
Attention: First use may cause a slight odor or small smoking upon heating, it is normal. This is
a result of the heating element chemical reaction. It quickly goes away.
• Rinse the inside of the Boiler and Pitcher thoroughly before using.
• Dry all parts before using.
• Do not place Boiler on Support Base until it is fully assembled.
• Do not fill Boiler with water while it is on the Support Base.
• Place Support Base on a flat surface and make certain the Off (O)/On (−) is set to (O)
before plugging into outlet.
• Place dry Boiler on a flat dry counter or on a dry napkin and fill with water.
NOTE: Do not over fill. Water should NOT exceed Safety Valve.
• Place the Funnel Filter into the Boiler filled with water but not exceed Safety Valve.
