The oven doors must be closed and all controls set correctly for the cycle to work properly.

How to Delag the Start of Cleaning
I71 Touch the SELFCLEAN pad.
A ]-hour self-clean time is
recommended for use when cleaning
small, contained spills,A self-clean
time of 5 hours is recommended
for a dirtier oven.
If a time other than 5 hours or 3 hours
is needed,use the number pads and
enter the desired clean time.
Youcan change the clean time to ang time
between 3 hours and 5 hours, depending
on how dirtg gour oven is.
E_ Touchthe DELAVSTARTpad.
E_] using the number pads,enter the time
of day you want the clean cycle to
start.
[] Touchthe STARTpad.
The upper and lower oven doors lock
automaticallu. The cooktop elements are
also locked out during self-clean. The
display will show the start time. It will not
be possible to open the oven doors or use
the cooktop until the temperature drops
below the lock temperature and
LOCKED/DOOR_ goes off in the control
display.
When LOCKED/DOOR_ goes off, you will
be able to open the doors.
After a Clean Cycle
Youmau notice some white ash in the
oven.Wipe it up with a damp cloth after
the oven cools.
If white spots remain, remove them with
a soap-filled steelwool pad and rinse
thoroughly with a vinegar and water
mixture.
Thesedeposits are usuallu a salt residue
that cannot be removed bu the clean cycle.
If the oven is not clean after one clean
cucle, repeat the cucle.
You cannot set the oven for cooking or
another self-clean cycle until the oven is
cool enough for the door to unlock.
While the oven is self-cleaning, Uoucan
touch the CLOCKpad to displau the time
of day. To return to the clean countdown,
touch the SELFCLEAN pad.
Ifthe racks become hard to slide,
applu a small amount of cooking oil
to a paper towel and wipe the edges
of the oven racks with the paper towel.
