If burner flames look like (A), call for service• Normal burner flames should
look like (B) or (C), depending on the type of gas you use•
With LP gas, some yellow tipping on outer cones is normal.
To turn from OFF position, push the knob in and then turn•
Make sure electrical plug is plugged into a live, properly grounded power outlet•
Gas supply not connected or not turned on.
Check for power outage.
Pan sitting on burner grate may be partially blocking the free air flow needed
for combustion. Remove pan and try again.
Igniter orifice in burner body may be clogged. See the Cam and
Cleaning section. Remove the obstruction.
.Burner parts not replaced correctly• See the Care and Cleaning section,
Hole in burner top behind igniter may be clogged• Use a small sewing
needle to unplug.
Turn knob out of the LITE positon.
,T_m burner off and relight. If ticking is still present, call for service.
Be sure knob is in the OFF position. Remove knob by pulling it straight off
the stem and check N)ttom of knob for any build-up of soil.
.If range is connected to LP gas, check all steps in the Installation Instructions.
The oven controls are not properly set. See the Broiling ,_ction.
The door is not closed.
,Improper shelf position is being used. See the Broiling section.
,Food is being cooked on a hot pan.
Cookware is not suited for broiling.
Oven bottom not securely seated in position.
Aluminum foil used on the broiler rack has not been fitted properly and slit,
as recommended.
