E The water volume is given as standard in ‘oz’� You can
change this setting to ‘ml’ in programming mode (see
Chapter 6 ‘Permanent settings in programming mode’)�
Precondition:The bean container has been filled�
TFor machines with a plug-in power cord: Connect the power
cord to the machine
TInsert the power plug into a power socket�
TPress the On/Off button Q to switch the E8 on�
‘Choose language
T Press the 0 or 9 button until the desired language is displayed,
e�g� ‘English
T Press the ‘Save’ button�
‘Saved’ appears briefly on the display
‘Water hardness
E If you do not know the hardness of your water, you must
find this out first (see chapter 3 ‘Preparing and using for the
first time – Determining the water hardness’)�
