Preparing for Vacation
For long va(ations oi" absen(es_ Feillove tood
and unI)lug the refl'igeratm: Move the fl'eezer
control to the 0 position, and clean the
interior with a baking soda solution of one
tablespoon (l 5 ml) of baking soda to one
quart (l liter) ofwatei: I,eave the doors open.
Set the icemaker power switch to the
Oposition and sh tit ott the water supply
to the refrigerator.
If the temperature can drop below fl'eezing,
have a qualified servicer drain the water
supply system (on SOlne models) to i)revent
serious property damage due to flooding.
Preparing to Move
Secure all loose items such as grille, shelves
and drawers by taping them securely in
place to prevent damage.
Besuretherefngeratorstaysin an uprightposition
duringmoving.
Replacingthe lightbulbs.
Turning the control to the 0 position does not remove power to the light circuit.
Refrigerator Compartment--Upper Light
Thisbulb islocated behind thecontrols.
O Unplug the refrigerator.
O To remove the light shield: Push it up
and back.
Replace the bulb with an appliance bulb
of the same or lower wattage.
To replace the light shield: Position the
plastic hooks on the light shield so they
fit into the holes on the back of the
contFol a I'ea,
Plug the refl'igerator back in.
Refrigerator Compartment--Lower Light (onsomemodels)
This hght is located above the top drawe_
O Unplug the refrigerator.
Grasp the lip at the bottom of the light
shield and pull it up and forward.
O After replacing with an appliance bulb
of the same or lower wattage, replace
the shield.
Plug the refl'igerator back in.
Freezer Compartment
Unplug the refrigerator.
@ Remove the shelf just below the light
shield. (The shelf will be easier to
remove if it is emptied first.)
O I,ift up on the light shield to rexnove.
After replacing with an appliance bulb of
the same or lower wattage, reinstall the
shield by hanging it fl'om the three tabs.
Reinstall the shelf and plug the
refl'igerator back in.
Dispenser
UnI)lug the refl'igerator.
The bulb is located on the dispenser
under the control panel. Remove the
light bulb by turning it counterclockwise.
Replace the bulb with a bulb of the same
size and wattage.
