Thick cuts of bread like BAGELS take longer to toast since more
moisture must be evaporated from the bread before toasting
occurs.
Some very thick cuts of bread may require two toasting cycles.
If toasting bread with pieces of fruit, please remove all loose pieces
before toasting. These can fall into the toaster or stick to the guard
wires.
Before toasting bagels, slice them into two equal halves; place
them in the toaster with the cut sides facing each other.
Cleaning Your Toaster
WARNING: Always unplug the product and allow it to cool before
cleaning or storing.
NOTICE: Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Simply wipe the exterior of the toaster with a clean damp cloth
and dry it thoroughly. If a cleaning solution is used, apply it to a
clean cloth and not directly onto the toaster.
ONLY remove crumbs when appliance is cool. Stand above trash
bin and flip toaster over. You will see a clip that holds the crumb
tray in place. Pinch the clip and crumb tray will release discarding
all crumbs into the trash bin.
ALWAYS clean crumbs regularly to avoid accumulation and to
prevent potential fire hazard.
Once crumbs are in trash bin, wipe tray with a dry napkin to clean
any droppings that may be stuck to the crumb tray. Pinch clip
again to secure crumb tray back into position. NEVER use the
toaster without securing the crumb tray in place.
Push the crumb tray into the toaster and release lever to lock the
crumb tray in place. Never operate the toaster without the crumb
holder in place.
To remove bread caught in toaster, make certain the toaster is
off. Unplug from outlet, wear oven mitts, turn toaster upside
down and shake gently. Never insert any hard or sharp object into
the toaster.
DO NOT IMMERSE THIS TOASTER IN ANY LIQUID.
