CLEANPAD
Usetoset a self-cleancycle. (Only one
ovenmaybecleanedata time.Bothovens
willlockwheneitherisbeingcleaned.)
1. Clean oven
frame, door
frame (area
outside of
gasket) and
around the
openinginthedoorgasketwithanonabra-
sive cleanersuch as Bon Ami*.These
areasare notexposedto cleaningtem-
peratures,
2. Removeovenracks. If racksare leftin
duringacleancycle,itmayimpairfunction
andtheywilldiscolor.Turnoff the e_en
lightandclosedoor.
3. PressCLEANpad.
4. PresstheAUTOSETpadfor3 hoursof
cleaningtime,pressagainfor4 hoursand
againif2 hoursofcleantimeisdesired.
5. CLEANINGandLOGplusthecleantime
willappearin thedisplayandbothovens
willlock.
6. When the clean cycleis complete,
CLEANEDwillbe displayed. LOCwill
remainonuntiltheovenhascooled(approx.
I hour).
I Topreventdamagetoovendoor,donot
attempttoopeneitherovendoorwhen
theLOCindicatorwordisdisplayed.
! Dudngthecleaningprocess,thekitchen
shoutdbewellventilatedto helpelimi-
natenormalodorsassociatedwithclean-
ing. Odorswilllessenwithuse.
! It is normalfor flare-ups,smokingor
flamingto occur duringcleaningif the
ovenisheavilysoiled.Irisbettertoclean
theovenregularlyratherthantowaituntil
thereisa heavybuildupofsoil.
! Wipeupexcessgreaseorspilloversto
preventflare-ups.Foreaseincleaning,
thebakeelementintheupperor lower
ovencanbeliftedslightly(1 inch).
I As theovenheatsand cools,youmay
hearsoundsof metalpartsexpanding
andcontracting.Thisis normalandwill
notaffectperformance.
! Wipeupsugaryandacidicspilloverssuch
assweetpotatoes,tomatoormilk-based
saucespriortoaself-cleancycle.Porce-
lain enamelis acid resistant,not acid
proofand maydiscolorif spillsare not
wipedupbeforea self-cleancycle.
! A whitediscolorationmayappearafter
cleaningifacidicorsugaryfoodsarenot
wipedup beforethe cleancycle. This
discolorationisnormalandwillNOTaf-
fectperformance.
7. Whentheoveniscool,LOCwillnolonger
bedisplayedandthedoormaybeopened.
8. Wipeouttheoveninteriorwith a damp
cloth.Ifsoilremainsitindicatesthecycle
wasnotlongenough.

To DelaytheStartofa Self-CleanCycle:
1. Followsteps1-4above.
2. PresstheSTOPTIMEpad.STOPTIME
willflash.
3. AsSTOPTIMEflashes,presstheappro-
priatenumberpadstoenterthetimeyou
wishtheoventostop,
4. DELAYCLNandLOCwillbedisplayed.
5, Whenthedelayperiodiscompletedand
cleaningbegins,CLEANING,LOCand
thecleantimewillbedisplayed.
