Troubleshooting
If your tool seems not to operate properly, follow the
instructions below. If this does not solve the problem, please
contact your repairagent.
Tool does notwork.
Worklights do not switchon.
Check trigger lock off is notengaged.
• Check battery power level (See Fuel Gauge Battery Packs
section of thismanual).
• Remove the battery pack, wait for at least 5seconds, then
re‑insertit.
Worklights are on but motor does notrun.
• Ensure both the contact trip and trigger are released and
then actuate only contacttrip.
• Check the mode selectorswitch.
• Check battery power level (See Fuel Gauge Battery Packs
and Low Battery Indicator section of thismanual).
Worklights are on, motor runs, tool does not drive
fasteners atall.
• Check the mode selectorswitch.
• Check that correct type of fasteners are loaded in to the
magazine and that the pusher is pushing thefastener.
• Check for fault indicator lights (replace battery or clear a
jam if necessary (See Low Battery Indicator and Clearing a
Jammed Nail section of thismanual).
• Check that the contact trip and nail pusher movement is
free (See Preparing the Tool section of thismanual).
NOTE: The stall release lever should be used to reset the
mechanism. The Trigger Lock Off may also need to be
cycled to reset the electronic control. These requirements
are indicated by the tool, using theworklights.
Worklights are on, motor runs, tool does not drive
fastenersfully.
• Adjust the driving depth (See Adjusting Depth section of
thismanual).
• Change tool to seq mode if not already in seqmode.

for cleaning the non‑metallic parts of the tool. These

part of the tool into aliquid.

Lubrication
Your power tool requires no additionallubrication.
MAINTENANCE
Your power tool has been designed to operate over a long
period of time with a minimum of maintenance. Continuous
satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and
regularcleaning.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn tool off and disconnect battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An accidental
start‑up can causeinjury.
The charger and battery pack are notserviceable.
Cold Weather Operation
When operating tools at temperatures below freezing:
1. Keep tool as warm as possible prior touse.
2. Actuate the tool 5or 6times into scrap timber beforeusing.
Hot Weather Operation
Tool should operate normally. However, keep tool out of direct
sunlight as excessive heat can deteriorate bumpers and other
rubber parts resulting in increasedmaintenance.
the right‑hand headlight will blink continuously. Keep the tool
pointed away from you and follow these instructions to clear:
1. Remove battery pack from tool and engage the trigger
lock‑off.
2. Press the pusher assembly

and remove any loadednails.
3. Lift the jam clear latch

then pull up to open the
nosepiecedoor.
4. Remove bent nail, using pliers ifnecessary.
5. If driver blade is in the down position, cycle the stall release
lever

using enough force to fully slide it to the other end
of the slot in thehousings.
6. Close the nosepiece door and engage the latch pin under
the two arms on the nosepiece. Push latch until it locks
inplace.
7. Reinsert batterypack. NOTE:The tool will disable itself
and not reset until the battery pack has been removed
andreinserted.
8. Reinsert nails into magazine (see Loading theTool).
NOTE:Should nails continue to jam frequently in nosepiece,
have tool serviced by an authorised DEWALT servicecentre.
