Removing Empty Grease Cartridge (Fig.I)

out as far as it will go,
then secure the grease tube rod

by moving the rod to the side. Ensure the rod is
placed securely in the slot to prevent it fromdisengaging.
Pressure Relief Valve (Fig.G)
The pressure relief valve

is set at the factory to relieve
pressure above 10,000 PSI (690 bar). Grease coming out
of the pressure relief valve indicates a clog in the fitting,
line or bearing. Any of these conditions must be corrected
beforeproceeding.
WARNING: The grease gun may generate high
pressure. Do not remove or tamper with the
pressure relief valve. Serious injury mayoccur.

either end to indicate if the trigger switch is locked or unlocked.
1. To lock the trigger switch

, press the lock-off button
from the locked icon end as shown in Fig.F.
NOTE: Always lock the trigger switch

when carrying
or storing the tool to eliminate unintentional starting.
2. To unlock the trigger switch

from the unlocked icon end as shown in Fig.F.
3. Squeeze the trigger switch

to turn the motor ON.
4. Releasing the trigger switch turns the motorOFF.
NOTE: The variable speed trigger switch will give you added
versatility. The further the trigger is depressed the higher the
output ofgrease.
WARNING: This tool has no provision to lock the
switch in the ON position, and should never be locked
ON by any othermeans.

template for the location of the mounting screws on the wall.
Mount the charger securely using drywall screws (purchased
separately) at least 1” (25.4mm) long, with a screw head
diameter of 0.28–0.35” (7–9mm), screwed into wood to an
optimal depth leaving approximately 7/32” (5.5 mm) of the
screw exposed. Align the slots on the back of the charger
with the exposed screws and fully engage them in theslots.
NOTE: Do not attempt to mount CMCB101 charger under a
bench ortable.
NOTE: Only mount CMCB101 charger with the charging
lights pointed upward toward theceiling.
VersaTrack™
WARNING: Do not charge batteries while charger is
hung onTrackwall.
CRAFTSMAN chargers, except the CMCB101, can be
stored on CRAFTSMAN VersaTrack™ Trackwall. Hooks and
accessories are sold separately. Please refer to the VersaTrack™
Trackwall accessory sheet for furtherinformation.
NOTE: The CMCB101 charger is not CRAFTSMAN VersaTrack™
Trackwallcompatible.

When the tool is activated by pressing the trigger switch

will automatically turn on. The LED
worklight will turn off 60seconds after the trigger switch has
beenreleased.
Installing a Grease Cartridge (Fig.A,I,G)
1. Pull the grease tube handle

2. Unscrew the grease tube assembly

from the
greasegun.
3. Remove the plastic cap from the grease cartridge, then
insert the cartridge, open end first, into the grease
tube

4. Remove the seal from the other end of the
greasecartridge.
5. Thread the grease tube assembly

back into the
grease gun and screw it insecurely.
6. Release the grease tube rod

from the retaining
slot

and slowly press it back into thetube.
7. Use the purge valve (

, Fig.G) to bleed off any air
that may be trapped in the cartridge. Refer to Purging
AirPockets.
IMPORTANT: The grease gun will lose its prime if there are
air pockets in thelubricant.
