ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
A'I-FENTION: All electric cooktops must be hard wired
(direct wired) into an ai_provedjuncfion box. A plug
and receptacle is not pemfitted fin" these products.
We reconnnend you have the electrical wiring and
hookup of your cooktop done by a qualified electrician,
_Mtei" installation, have the elect[_cian show you where
your inain disconnect is located,
Check with your local utilities fin" electrical codes
which apply'in your area. Failure to wire your cooktop
according to governing codes could result ill a
hazardous condition, If there are no local codes,
your cooktop II/USt be wired and fused to ineet the
requirelnents of the National Electrical Code,

You should use a single phase, three wire 240/120 Volt,
60 Hertz electiical power s):smln. If ahuninunl wiring is
used, all connections MUST be lismd fin" use with
ahnninunl and copper wiring. It is smmgly
reconnnended that if ahuninuln wiring is used, the
special ternfinal grease fin" use with ahnninum widng,
prefl_rably with "grit", is put into the connection to keep
it ti'om corroding over tim e.
At a nfimm ran, the National Electrical Code wire sizing
ill Section 310 should be fi)llowed. It is fiu'ther
reconnnended that No. 8 AWG copper (or No. 6 AWG
ahuninum) wire or larger if required, protected with
either a double pole 40 Alni)ere drcuit breaker or t\_x_
4t) Mni)ere fllses, be used to supply power U_ the cooktop.

This cooktop cannot be installed ill countertops that
cannot accept screws, such as granite or inarble, etc.
Counter space II/USt be provided fl)r installation of
the cooktop. To insure accuracy, it is best to inake a
telni)late when cutting the oi)ening ill the counter.
