2. Bin Control Installation
NOTICE
Before operating the icemaker, the bin control assembly must be installed correctly.
Failure to properly install the bin control assembly could result in ice backup and
icemaker damage.
Follow the instructions below for bin control assembly installation.
1) If not already removed, remove the front panel, top, and right side panels.
2) Loosen the screws securing the control box, then lift the control box off and hang it from
the base. See Fig. 6.
3) Remove the bin control insulation and bin control cover.
4) Remove bin control from the bin control cover.
5) Remove the bin control extension bracket and 2 thumbscrews from the accessory bag.
Route the bin control cable around one of the notches on either side of the extension
bracket, then secure the bin control to the bin control extension bracket using the
2thumbscrews. See Fig. 7.
Note: All thumbscrews used in the bin control assembly are the same size.
6) Using 2 existing thumbscrews, attach the bin control extension bracket to the bin control
cover.
7) Route the bin control cable through the slot in the bin control cover, then place the bin
control assembly into position and secure with 2 existing thumbscrews.
8) Replace the bin control insulation in its proper position.
9) Secure the control box in its proper position.
