Smoke Confirming Time
: Time for confirming suspected smoke. For example, if you
set the smoke confirming time to be 10 seconds, the PTZ will stop and confirm for 10 s
when the camera detects suspected smoke during rotation. If it is smoke, the visible
channel will confirm the target for the second time; if it is not smoke, the PTZ will
continue to operate as the configured mode.

Smoke Waiting Mode
: When you select
Auto
, and set the
Duration Time
to be 10 s,
the PTZ will stop scanning and alarm for 10 s when visible channel detects smoke, and
then automatically continues scanning; When you select
Manual
, you need to click
Continue
on the
Live
page to continue the pan.
●
Sensitivity
: Configure the sensitivity according to the actual situation. We recommend
you track and test the value for a period, and adjust it according to the actual situation
(the higher the value, the easier the smoke will be detected.).

Leave the advanced parameters as defaults.

The smoke detection exclusion area is mainly used to filter fixed false alarm sources such as
factory chimneys.
You can filter false alarm sources through setting target size. For details, see Step4 in "5.5.4
Configure Smoking Detection".

You can draw 32 exclusion areas (yellow) at most, and 6 areas for each single image.
●
You need to draw the exclusion areas on the visible channel.
●
Make sure that the drawn rectangle is 1.2 times of the target size.
