Attaching Side Discharge Cover
Yourmowerisshippedas a mulcher.Toconvertto side discharge,
makesuregrasscatcherisoff of the unitand reardischargedooris
closed.
1. On the sideof themower,liftthe mulchingcover.See Figure9.
2. Slidetwo hooksof side dischargecoverunder hingepin on
mulchingcoverassembly.Lowermulchingcover.Do not remove
side mulchingcoverat anytime, evenwhen youarenot mulching.

ADJUSTMENTS
Cutting Height
Thereisa cuttingheightadjustmentleverlocatedabovethe frontand
rearrightwheel.
1. Pull the heightadjustmentleveroutwardtowardswheel(unitwill
tendto fall whenleveris movedoutward).See Figure10.
2. Moveleverto desiredpositionfor a changein cuttingheight.See
Figure10.
3. Releaselevertowardsdeck.
IMPORTANT:All wheels mustbe placedin the sameposition.For
roughor unevenlawns,moveeachheightadjustmentleverto a higher
position.This will preventyoufromcuttingthe grass tooclose to the
ground.
Handle Pitch
Forconvenienceof operation,you mayadjustthe pitchof the handle
as follows:
1. Removewing nuts and carriageboltsfromhandle.See Figure11.
2. Positionthe handlein oneof the threepositionsthat is most
comfortable.See Figure11inset.
3. Secureintopositionwith wingnuts and carriageboltsremoved
earlier.
