Protective Apparel
Make sure that you are wearing an approved
helmet, eye protection, and other appropriate
riding gear.
#
Helmet
Should be safety-standard certified, high-
visibility, and the correct size for your head.
Must fit comfortably but securely, with the
chin strap fastened
Approved eye protection
Face shield with unobstructed field of vision
or other approved eye protection
Look for a DOT (Department of Transportation)
certification label on any helmet you buy.
3WARNING
Not wearing a helmet increases the
chance of serious injury or death in a
crash.
Make sure that you always wear an
approved helmet, eye protection, and
protective apparel.
#
Protective Gear
We recommend that you wear sturdy boots,
gloves, and other protective gear. The exhaust
system becomes very hot during operation, and
it remains hot after operation. Never touch any
part of the hot exhaust system. Wear clothing
that fully covers your legs.
Do not wear loose clothing which could catch
on the control levers, kickstarter, footpegs, drive
chain, or wheels.
