#1 Isn't this the same as Bissell 1806 power fresh mop but in green? Looking at specs this just has longer cord and more expensive. Anything else?.

It’s pretty much the same thing , the cord on the green one is way more heavy duty then your average household appliance.

#2 Where can i get extra soft pads that will fit this bissell commercial-bgst1566 steam mop power steamer, 12.5" wide?

Yes, I purchased extra pads from Amazon soon after I received and inspected steam mop and was very satisfied with the unit.
