5.. Add detergent, bleach and fabric softener to automatic dispenser following these steps:
A. OPENING AND CLOSING THE DISPENSER
DRAWER
• Slowlyopen the dispenser drawer byfirst sliding
the safety latch tothe right,then pullingthe drawer
out until itstops.
• After adding laundry products, slowlyclose the
dispenserdrawer. Closingthe drawer too quickly
could result inearly dispensing of the bleach and
fabricsoftener.
• Laundry products used with powder or liquid
detergent, such as color-safe bleach, water
conditioner,detergent booster, and enzyme
products should be added to the empty tub before
loading.
Note: From time to time you may see water in the I
bleachand fabric softener compartments. This isa
resultofthe siphoning action and is part ofthe
normal operation ofthe washer.
B. DETERGENT
• Add measured detergenttothedetergent
compartment ofthe dispenser drawer.
• Detergent isflushed from the dispenser at the
beginning ofthe cycle. Eitherpowdered or liquid
detergent can be used. Note: Liquid detergent will
drain intothe washer drum as itisadded.
• Low sudsing detergent is recommended for this
washer. Usethe manufacturer's recommended
amount.
• Iflow sudsingdetergent isnot available, a reduced
amount ofregular detergent may be used.
Because reducing the amount ofdetergent may
reduce cleaning, it is importantto pretreat stains,
sort carefully bycolor and soillevel, and avoid
overloading.
• Detergent usage may need to be adjusted forwater
temperature, water hardness, size and soillevel of
the load.
• For best results, avoid oversudsing.
C. LIQUID BLEACH
• If desired, measure out the recommended amount
of liquidchlorine bleach (not to exceed 1/3 cup (80
mL)) and pour itintothe center compartment
labeled "LiquidBleach" and marked with this
symbol.
• Do not exceed the maximum fillline. Overfilling
can cause early dispensing ofthe bleach which
could resultin damaged clothes.
• Do not pour undiluted liquidchlorine bleach direcUy
ontothe load or intothe drum. Fabric damage can
occur,
• Do not use powdered bleach In the dispenser.

FABRICSOFTENER
• If desired, pour the recommended amount of fabric
softener intothe compartment labeled "Fabric_
Softener" and marked with this symbol_.
• Dilute concentrated softeners with warm water to
the Fill Line.
• Do not exceed the maximum fill line. Overfilling
can cause early dispensing of the fabric softener
which could result in stained clothes.
• Do not pour fabric softener directly on the
wash load.
• Use of a fabric softener dispensingball is not
recommended intumble actionwashers.
