2 Preparation
Briefly press the Rotary Switch once to enter ‘coffee à la carte’ mode.
In this mode you can select the coffee strength and amounts before
preparation.
E The settings made in ‘coffee à la carte’ mode are one-off set-
tings and are not stored.
E The machine will exit ‘coffee à la carte’ mode automatically
after 5 seconds if no preparation is started.
E You cannot prepare double products in ‘coffee à la carte’
mode.
Example:Proceed as follows to prepare an espresso in ‘coffee à la
carte’ mode.
Precondition:
‘Please select product:’ is displayed.
T Place a cup under the coffee spout.
k T Briefly press the Rotary Switch to enter ‘coffee à la carte’
mode.
‘Café àla carte’
The products you can prepare in this mode are displayed.
E You can also select the products in the product selector. To do
this, turn the Rotary Switch to view the product selector.
T Press the
‘Espresso’ button.
‘Coffee strength’ appears on the display.
g T Turn the Rotary Switch to adjust the coffee strength.
k T Press the Rotary Switch to confirm the setting.
‘Volume’/ ‘45ml’ appears on the display.
g T Turn the Rotary Switch to adjust the fill volume.
k T Press the Rotary Switch to confirm the setting.
Preparation starts. The espresso is prepared using the
selected settings.
Preparation stops automatically.
‘Please select product:’
appears on the display.
