To Replace Metal Grease Filters
NOTE: Use 2 hands to install the filters: one to insert the filter into
the rear channel so that it does not fall, and the other to press in
the tab and push up on the front of the filter.
1. Insert back edge of filter into rear channel of the filter
opening.
2. Pull in on the tab and push the front of the filter up into
position. Release the tab. The filter will lock into place.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for remaining filters.
Charcoal Filters - For Non-Vented (recirculating)
Installations
The charcoal filter is not washable nor reusable.
It should be changed every 4 months in normal use or more
frequently in heavy use. To order a new Charcoal Filter Kit, see
the "Assistance or Service" section.
The charcoal filter captures unpleasant cooking odors.
To Install Charcoal Filters
1. Turn fan and lights off. Check that halogen lamp is cool.
2. Remove the metal grease filters. See "Metal Grease Filters"
section.
3. Set metal grease filters aside.
4. Place charcoal filter onto blower cover and rotate clockwise.
Repeat for the other side of the blower.

this section.
To Replace Charcoal Filters
1. Turn fan and lights off. Check that halogen lamp is cool.
2. Remove the metal grease filters. See "Metal Grease Filters" in
this section.
3. Set metal grease filters aside.
4. Remove charcoal filter. Rotate the filter counter-clockwise
and pull away from blower cover. Repeat removal of charcoal
filter on other side of blower.
5. Discard the used charcoal filters.
6. Place charcoal filter onto blower cover and rotate clockwise.
Repeat for the other side of the blower.
7. Replace metal grease filters. See "Metal Grease Filters" in
this section.
Replacing a Halogen Lamp
Turn off the range hood and allow the halogen lamp to cool. To
avoid damage or decreasing the life of the new bulb, do not
touch bulb with bare fingers. Replace bulb, using tissue or
wearing cotton gloves to handle bulb.
If new lamps do not operate, make sure the lamps are inserted
correctly before calling service.
1. Disconnect power.
2. Remove the 2 screws holding the lighting support.
3. Gently pull the lighting support out of the range hood.
4. Remove the light from the lighting support and replace with a
12-volt, 20-watt maximum, halogen lamp made for a MR11
base.
Check that the 2 pins are properly inserted in the lamp holder
socket holes.
5. Replace the lighting support. Replace 2 screws and tighten.
