RANGE HOOD USE
The range hood is designed to remove smoke, cooking vapors
and odors from the cooktop area. For best results, start the hood
before cooking and allow it to operate several minutes after the
cooking is complete to clear all smoke and odors from the
kitchen.
The hood controls are centered on the front underside of the
range hood.
Operating the light
1. Move the light switch to the "1" position to turn range hood
light ON.
2. Move the light switch to the "0" position to turn range hood
light OFR
Operating the fan
1. Move the fan switch to the "1" position to turn the fan ON.
The fan will begin operating at the speed set on the fan speed
switch.
2. Move the fan switch to the "0" position to turn the fan OFR

Adjusting the fan
The fan has 3 speed controls. Move the fan speed switch to "1"
position for low speed, "2" position for medium speed or "3"
position for high speed.
Thermal Protector
The range hood is equipped with athermal protector to avoid
overheating conditions. If the range hood shuts off while in use,
move fan slider switch to the "0" position to turn off the range
hood. Wait approximately 60 minutes, then move slider to the
"On" position to restart the range hood.
RANGE HOOD CARE
IMPORTANT: Clean the hood and grease filters frequently
according to the following instructions. Replace grease filters
before operating hood.
Be sure lights are cool before cleaning the hood.
Exterior Surfaces
Clean the range hood with a mild detergent and soft cloth. To
avoid damage to the exterior surface, do not use abrasive
cleanser or steel-wool pads.
Metal Grease Filters
The filters should be washed frequently. Place metal filters in
dishwasher or hot detergent solution to clean.
Drain water and let each filter dry thoroughly before replacing it.
To Remove Metal Grease Filters
NOTE: Use 2 hands to remove the filters: one to press in the tab
and pull down on the front of the filter, and the other to hold the
filter so that it does not fall.
1. Turn off fan and lights. Check that halogen lamp is cool.
2. Press the tab toward the rear of the hood and pull down the
front of the filter.

3. Slide the filter down and away from the front retaining
channel.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the remaining filters.
