basedin parton the laundryfabric type.Theseprogramsare controlledvia moisturesensors.
Programtime is determinedbythe measureddegreeof moisturein the laundryandonthe
degreeof drynessselected(e.g.Dampdry,RegularDry,ExtraDry).
Time programs runfor a userspecifiedlengthof time. TheAirfluff/Noheattimedcycleuses
ambientair (roomtemperature)withouta heatsupplyand runsfor 20 minutes.
Specialprograms are customdesignedfor specifictypesof fabricsuch as woolorjeans.
Woolor woolenproductsshouldonlybedryedusingthe dryerrack.
MISTCARE® cyclesarebestsuited for smoothingout wrinklesandreducingodors.
Theseprogramsshouldbeusedwithloadsconsistingof threeto four itemsmadeof
wrinklefree cotton,cotton/polyesterblend,cottonknitpulloversor synthetics.
Duringthiscyclea smallamountof wateris sprayedintothe drumwhiletumblingwith heat. This processis repeated,followedby additional
tumblinganda brief cooldownperiod. The heatlevelandtimeare presetfor theseprograms.
Note:Resultsmayvarywith fabrictype. Garmentsthat are 100%cottonand havewrinkle resistantfinish maygivebetterresults.
Ifthe nozzlestopssprayingduringoneof the MISTCARE® cycles(symptomswouldbe wateris not seensprayinginto drum,clothesare less
wrinkle-freethan theycustomarilyarewiththis function)checkto be surethe nozzleis notclogged. Lint mayaccumulateto blockthe nozzletip or
hardwatermaycausebuilduponthe nozzle(seepage26).

Signal
500 Series
Your dryer outputs different signals for
certain events. You may enable or
disable the signal by simultaneously
depressing the buttons shown. The
following audible tones will be
generated indicating the status of the
appliance.
Delicates low temp. Signal Type
Press the "Delicates low temp." button
for temperature sensitive textiles. Start Shorttone
Observe the care information or
symbols on the textiles. The End
temperature of the drying process is
reduced, the drying time is extended.
ECO e
Your dryer has an "energy savings"
ECO option. This option is used only
with cotton and permanent press
automatic programs. Less heat is
applied, and drying time is extended.
Press the option button prior to starting
an automatic program.

program is affected by the load
size, textile type and climatic
conditions.

Sequence
The dryer uses an electronic scanning
system for all programs except the time
programs. A moisture sensor
continuously checks the moisture in the
laundry. Drying ends automatically as
soon as the selected degree of dryness
has been reached.
The drum continues to rotate at
specific intervals for one hour to
prevent creasing.
The current degree of drying and the
level reached during the program
sequence is indicated via indicator
lights (Drying, Damp dry, Regular dry,
Wrinkle block).
