ToUse the Dispenser
Select CUBEDICE,CRUSHEDICEor WATER.
Press the glass gently _tg_dnstthe top ot tile
dispenser cradle.
The spill shelf is not sell<training. To reduce
water spotting, the shelf and its grille shoukl be
cleaned regularly.
If no waterisdispensedwhentherefrigeratoris first
installed,,theremaybe air in thewaterlinesystem.Press
thedispenserarmfor at leasttwo minutestoremove
trappedair from the waterlineandto tiff thewater
system.Toflushoutirnpudtiesin thewaterline, throw
awaythefirstsixgbssfulsof water
CAUTION:Neverput fingersoranyotherobjectsintothe
icecrusherdischargeopening.
LockingtheDispenser
Press the LOCKpadibr :4seconds to lock tile
dispenser and control panel. To unlock, pl_ss
and hokt the pad ag_fin for 3 seconds.
Dispenser Light
The LIGHTpad turns the nightlight in the
dispenser on _md()fli The light _dso comes on
\q/en the dispenser cradle is pressed. On some
models, if this light burns out, it should be
l_pl_ce(t with _t6 watt 12V maximum bulb.
QuickIce
When }_)u need ice in a hm'r}; press die
QUICKICEpad to speed up ice production.
This will increase ice production for file
tollowing 48 hom_ or until _)u press the
pad ag_dn.
OoorAlarm
To set the alarm, pl_ss tile DOORALARM p_td
tmtil the indicator light comes on. This alarm
will sound if either door is open for more thai_
3 minutes. The light goes out and tile beeping
stops \q/en t_u close tile door
Precise Fill
This _lter dispenser is equipped with a teatm_
called "precise fill." This teatm'e _dlo_tsyou to
choose a precise amount of water (cups or
otmces) that you _)uld like dispensed.
O Press the WATERpad.
Press the CUPS or OUNCES pad.
O Select the precise am()m/t of water you
would like dispensed.
If yonselected OUNCES,press the an'o_
pads on either side of the displa} to select
tile number of ounces you would like to
hme dispensed bet\_ee_/ 1-99 ounces.
Ifyon selected CUPS,press the arro_ pads
on the leit of the displa} to select the \_hole
cups (1-16 cups) and/or file arro_ pads on
the right side of the (lisping}to select
ti_ctions of a cup (1/4-3/4 cups).
O Press the cup ag'ainst the cradle and _Jter
will begin dispensing. It _dll automaticall}
stop \q/en tile amount set has been
dispensed. The displ_y will sho_ there
is no _ter left to dispense, then reset.
NOTE:Donotleavethedispenserunattendedwhen
wateris beingdispensed
]tv(m would like to stop dis )ensing water
beti)re the specified amount has been
dispensed, just remove the cup ti'om the
cradle. The displa} will show the amount
left to dispense.
important Facts About Your Dispenser
_: Do not add ice ti'om trays or bag_ to
file storage drm,:er. It m_w not crush or
dispense _11.
N A_oid o_erfilling glass with ice and use of
narro_ glasses, g_mked-up ice can jam tile
chute or cause the door in the chute to ti'eeze
shut. If ice is Nocking the chute, poke it
througll with a _)o(ten spoon.
N Be\erages and toods should not be quick-
chilled ill the ice storage (trawel: Cans, bottles
or todd packages in the storage drm_r ma}
cm_se tile icemaker or m_ger to jmn.
N To keep dispensed ice t_'om missing the glass,
put file glass dose to, but not touching, file
dispenser opening.
_: Some crushed ice mm be dispensed e\en
thoug]l you selected CUBEDICE.This happens
occasionall_ when a te\_ cubes accidentally get
direcmd to'the crasher
;??,_ter crushed ice is dispensed, some _tter
may drip fl'orri tile chute.
N Sometimes a srrlall rriol/nd of sno_ will tonn
on the door in tile ice chute. This condition
is i_onnal and usu;dlv occurs when you hme
dispensed crushed ice repeatedl}. The snow
will e_entually evaporate.
