Using the dryer rack
(Option, see page 19)
Use the dryer rack to dry washable
woolen textiles (e.g. sweaters) and
shoes. The dryer rack remains
stationary while the drum rotates.
Damp wool should not be tumbled dry
in the drum, as it has a tendency to
matt and shrink. Drying shoes without a
rack could damage the drum.
D The dryer rack must be used for
drying with the wool cycle. If the
rack is not used, the sensor will
shut the dryer off after
approximately 3 minutes and the
display will show ....
Dry only one item of clothing or one
pair of shoes - maximum dry load
2.2 Ibs (1 kg)! The laundry must
have been spun! Only dry
prewashed shoes! The laundry must
not touch the drum! It could jam and
be damaged. After using the dryer
rack, take it out of the dryer
immediately.
Inserting the dryer rack
1. Open the dryer door.
2. Check that the drum is empty.
3. Hold the dryer rack by the center
section as shown below and insert
it horizontally all the way into the
drum. Then bring it back towards
the front and align the forward
ends with the two holes beside the
lint filter.
4. With the forward ends engaged in
the holes, lower the back of the
rack so that it sits in place, braced
against the inner surface of the
dryer housing.
Drying laundry items on the dryer
rack

Fold your laundry so it fits on the
dryer rack.
Laundry items should be placed
so they lay loosely on the dryer
rack. Do not stack laundry so that
it is compressed on the rack. Do
not allow the laundry items to
touch the drum. Laundry items
must only touch the rack and
should not hang over the edges of
the rack.

Close the door, making sure no
laundry is caught between the
door and the housing or door seal.
For wool items, select the Wool
cycle, if available. For other items,
select one of the time cycles.
Select the drying time according to
the laundry type.
Drying shoes on the dryer rack:
1. Prepare shoes.
Clean shoes to prevent the drum
from becoming soiled.
If preparing sports shoes for
drying, extend the tongue.
Loosen or remove shoe-laces.
Remove insoles and heel pads.
2. Place shoes on the rack.
Directly on the dryer rack
or
Roll up a towel and place the
heels of the shoes on the towel.
This will ensure a more uniform
drying result.
3. Close the door.
4. Press the "Start/Pause" button.
The "Start/Pause" indicator light
illuminates.
5. If the shoes still contain residual
moisture after the indicated drying
time:
Reorient the shoes on the drying
rack.
Restart the program and reduce
the drying duration depending
on the degree of residual
moisture.
6. After drying air the shoes at room
temperature for approximately
30 minutes.
7. Take the dryer rack out of the
drum.
