clockwiseto"START"positionand
release keyas soonas enginestarts.
Do not runstarter continuouslyformore
thanf'dteensedondsper minute.Ifthe
enginedoesnotstartafterseveral
attempts,movethrottle controltofast
position,waita few minutesand try
again. Ifenginestilldoes notstart,
movethethrottle controlbacktothe
chokepositionand retry.
WARM WEATHERSTARTING (,50_ Fand
above)
When enginestarts, move thethrottle
controltothefast position.
The attachmentsand groundddvecan
nowbe used.Iftheenginedoes not
acceptthe load,restartthe engineand
allowittowarm upfor one minute using
thechokeas describedabove.
COLD WEATHER STARTING( 50° F and
below)
When enginestarts,allowenginetorun
withthethrottlecontrolin thechoke
positionuntilthe engine runsroughly,
then movethrottle control tofast posi-
tion.This may requirean enginewarm-
uppedodfromseveralsecondstosev-
eral minutes,dependingonthe temper-
ature.
AUTOMATICTRANSMISSION WARM UP
Beforedrivingtheunitin coldweather,
thetransmissionshouldbe warmedup
as follows:
Be surethe tractorison level(jround.
" Placethe motion controllever,n neutral.
Releasethe parkingbrakeand letthe
clutch/brakeslowlyreturnto operating
position.
Allowone minutefor transmissionto
warmup.Thiscanbe donedudngthe
enginewarmup period.
The attachmentscanalsobe used dur-
ingthe enginewarm-upperiod afterthe
transmissionhasbeen warmedup.
