CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning your humidifier regularly helps eliminate odors and bacterial growth and
helps maintain the performance by reducing mineral build up on the oscillator.
Do not leave water in the water tank or base when unit is not in use for more than a
day as mineral deposits and bacterial growth may accumulate very quickly.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of fire or shock hazard, always turn off and unplug
unit before accomplishing any cleaning or maintenance procedures.
CAUTION: Never immerse the base of this unit into water.
NOTE: Never use harsh cleaners or chemicals on this humidifier. Do not use
scouring agents on the outer body, as this will scratch and mar the surface.
DAILY MAINTENANCE
1) Turn off unit and unplug from outlet. Take unit to sink area.
2) Lift off water tank and empty water from tank and base.
3) Rinse water tank cap with demineralization filter attached under water faucet flow.
4) Wipe dry all parts with soft clean cloth or paper towels and reassemble.
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
1) Empty water from tank and base then fill water tank about half full with warm water
and add two (2) tablespoons of white vinegar.
2) Replace water tank cap with demineralization cartridge tightly onto the water tank
and swish solution vigorously around in the tank, then let solution sit for 20 to 30
minutes.
3) Rinse the water tank very thoroughly with clean water. Do not leave any cleaning
residue in tank. Wipe surfaces dry with soft cloth.
4) To clean the base, first take a soft toothbrush or soft cloth and gently scrub the
metal surface of the oscillator. Do not scratch the oscillator with a hard object.
5) Make similar white vinegar/water solution as above and pour carefully into water
basin portion of base. Let solution sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Pour out solution. Rinse
the water basin with fresh water and wipe out thoroughly. Do not allow water or
cleaning solution to get into control section.
6) Put a little vinegar/water solution on soft clean cloth and wipe down outer surface of
unit.
7) Dry outside surface body with soft absorbent cloth.
DEMINERALIZATION CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
1) Every 500 hours of operation change the demineralization
cartridge to ensure pure water vapor is released into your
home.
2) Remove water tank cap. Unscrew the cartridge from the cap.
Discard old cartridge. Retain water tank cap.
3) Screw new cartridge onto cap, being careful not to cross thread
which could cause leakage.
SUMMER STORAGE
1) Clean unit as outlined in above. Dry out unit thoroughly.
2) Store in original package if available. Keep this manual with
unit. Take care that nothing heavy is placed on top of the box.
3) Do not store unit in an attic or other high-temperature area, as damage will occur.
