•Cleantherangeregularlytokeepallpartsfreeofgreasethatcouldcatchre. Pay particular attention to the area underneath
each surface element. Do not allow grease to accumulate.
•Kitchencleanersandaerosols—Alwaysfollowthemanufacturer’srecommendeddirectionsforuse. Be aware that excess
residue from cleaners and aerosols may ignite causing damage and injury.
•CleanVentilatingHoodsFrequently—Greaseshouldnotbeallowedtoaccumulateonthehoodorlter. Follow manufacturer’s
instructions for cleaning.
COILCOOKTOPMODELS
•MakeSureReectorPansorDripBowlsAreinPlace—Absence of these pans or bowls during cooking may subject wiring or
components underneath to damage.
•ProtectiveLiners—Do not use aluminum foil to line surface unit drip bowls, or reflector pans. Only use aluminum foil as
recommended in this manual. Improper installation of these liners may result in risk of electric shock, or fire.
•Carefully check the reflector pans, drip bowls, and coils for packaging material. Remove all packaging material before using the
cooktop.
•Do not use decorative surface burner covers. If an element is accidentally turned on, the decorative cover will become hot and possibly
melt. Burns will occur if the hot covers are touched. Damage may also be done to the cooktop.
•Do not allow grease to accumulate around surface burners and drip bowls.
