Flush installation
Flush installation is only possible in
natural-stone (granite, marble), solid-
wood, and tiled countertops. Certain
cooktops are suitable for building into
glass countertops – these are labeled
accordingly. When using a countertop
made from any other material, please
check first with the countertop manu-
facturer that it is suitable for installing
a flush cooktop.
The internal width of the base unit un-
derneath the appliance must be at
least as wide as the inner countertop
cut-out (see “Installation – Installation
dimensions – Flush”), so that the
cooktop is easily accessible from un-
derneath after installation and the bot-
tom half of the casing can be removed
for maintenance. If the underside of
the cooktop is not freely accessible af-
ter installation, any sealant must be re-
moved to enable the cooktop to be
lifted out.
Natural-stone countertops
The cooktop is set directly in the cut-
out.
Solid-wood countertops, tiled coun-
tertops, glass countertops
The cooktop is secured inside the cut-
out with wooden battens. The frame
must be provided on site and is not
supplied with the appliance.
