Burner Grates

and rinse with clean water: When replacing
the grates, be sm'e they are positioned
securely over tile b/li'nei's.
On models with profbssional-s_,le double
grates, the grates are position-specific. For
maMmum stability, these grates should only
be used in their proper position; they
cannot be interchanged left to right or
fl'ont to back. D)r convenience, the
trade,sides of tile left and right grates are
marked "I,EFT FRONT" and "RIGHT
FRONT."
Do not operate a burner for an extended
period of time without cookware on the
grate. Tile finish on tile grate may chip
without cookware to absorb tile heat.
To get rid of bm'ned-on food, place the
grates in a covered containe_: Add 1/4 cup
ammonia and let them soak several l/om_
or overnight. Wash, rinse well and (h_'.
Ahhough they are din'able, tile grates
will gradually lose their shine, regardless
of tile best care you can give them. This is
due to their continual exposm'e to high
temperatm'es. _m will notice this sooner
with lighter color grates,
NOTE: Do not dean thegrates in a self-cleaningoven.
Cooktop Surface
To avoid damaging tile porcelain enamel

from becoming dull, clean up spills right

models. Lifflbg the cooktopcanleadto damage
and improperoperation of the range.

Do not use a steel-wool pad; it will scratch
the surface.
