ENGINE
FUEL SYSTEM
IMPORTANT: It isimportantto preventbum
depositsfromformingin essentialjuel system
partssuch as carburetor,fuel filter,fuel hose,
ortank duringstorabe.Also,experience
indicatesthat aicololblindedfuels (called
gasohol or usingethanolor methanol) can
attract moisturewhich leadsto separation and
formation of acidsduringstorage. Acidicgas
can damage the fuel system of an engine
while instorage.
• Drain the fuel tank.
• Start the engine and letIt rununtilthe fuel
lines and carburetor are empty.
• Never use engine or carburetorcleaner
products inthe fuel tank or permanent
damage may occur.
• Use freshfuelnextseason.
NOTE: Fuel stabilizerisan acceptable
alternative in minimizingtheformation offuel
gum deposits duringstorage. Add stabilizerto
gasoline infueltank or storage container.
Always followthe mixratiofound onstabilizer
container. Run engine at least 10 minutes

tank and carburetor ifusingfuel stabilizer.
ENGINE OIL
Drain oil(withengine warm) and replacewith
clean engine oil. (See "ENGINE" inthe
Customer Responsibilitiessectionofthis
manual).
CYUNDER
• Remove spark plug.
• Pour one ounce (29 ml)of oilthroughspark
plughole intocylinder.
• Pullstarter handleslowlya fewtimes to
distributeoiL
• Replace withnew spark plug.
OTHER
• Donotstoregasolinefromoneseasonto
another.
• Replaceyourgasolinecanifyourcanstarts
to rust.Rustand/ordirtinyourg_oline will
causeproblems.
• Ifpossible,storeyourunitindoorsandcover
Itto giveprotectionfromdustand dirt.
• Coveryourunitwitha suitableprotective
coverthatdoesnot retainmoisture,Do not
useplastic.Plasticcannotbreathewhich
allowscondensationtoformandwillcause
yourunittorust.
IMPORTANT: Nevercovermowerwhile
engine andexhaustareasarestillwarm.
CAUTION: Neverstorethelawnmowerwith
gasolineinthetankinsidea buildingwhere
fumesmayreachan openflameorspark.
Allowthe enginetocoolbeforestoringinany
enclosure.
