ENGINE
CARBURETOR
Your carburetor has a non-adjustable fixed
main jet for mixture control. If your engine
does not operate properly due to sus-
pected carburetor problems, take your
lawn mower to an authorized service
center for repair or adjustment.
ENGINE SPEED
Your engine speed has been factory set.
Do not attempt to increase engine speed
or it may result in personal injury. If you'
believe that the engine is running too fast
or too slow, take your lawn mower to an
authorized service center for repair and
adjustment.
Immediately prepare your lawn mowerfor
storage at the end ofthe season orifthe unit
willnot be usedfor30 days or more.
LAWNMOWER
When lawn mower isto be stored fora period
oftime, clean itthoroughly,remove alldirt,
grease, leaves, etc.Store in a clean, dry area.
• Clean entire lawn mower (See "CLEANING"
inthe Customer Responsibilitiessection of
this manual).
• Lubricate as shown inthe Customer
Responsibilitiessection ofthis manual.
• Be sure that allnuts, bolts,screws, and pins
are securely fastened. Inspect moving
partsfor damage, breakage and wear.
Replace ifnecessary.
• Touch up allrusted or chippedpaint
surfaces;sand lightlybefore painting.
HANDLE
Youcan foldyour lawn mower handlefor
storage.
• Squeeze the bottom ends ofthe lower
handle toward each other untilthe lower
handle clears the handle bracket,then
move handleforward.
• Loosen upper handle mountingbolts

back.
IMPORTANT: When foldingthe handlefor
storageor transportation,be sureto foldthe
handle as shown oryou may damage the
controlcables.
• When setting upyour handlefromthe
storage position,the lower handlewill
automaticallylockintothe mowing position.
