20. Clean cooktop with caution. If a wet sponge or cloth is used to wipe spills on a hot
cooking area, be careful to avoid steam burn. Some cleaners can produce noxious
fumes if applied to a hot surface.
21. Do not place metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, and lids on the cooktop
since they can get hot.
22. Never place aluminum foil on cooktop.
23. CAUTION: HOT SURFACE. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be
high when the appliance is operating.

Electrical Shock Hazard: This appliance is provided with a polarized plug
(one wide blade) to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one way into a
polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in
any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet.
The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of
becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an

How Induction Cooking Works: Induction cooking works through a magnetic field
between the induction coils beneath the glass top and the ferrous (iron-containing)
material in the cookware. Heat from induction is only produced in the pan itself, not in
the glass top. The Induction Cooktop will get hot where the pan is placed, as a result of
heat transfer from the pan.
1. Cooking Zone: Correct type of cookware must be placed in Cooking Zone for
Induction Cooktop to work.
2. ON/OFF ( ) Button: Press to turn on or off.
3. TIMER ( ) Button: Press to set timer after power level or temperature has been set.
Timer can be set from 1 to 150 minutes in 1-minute increments.
4. TEMP ( ) Button: Press to enter temperature mode and set temperature.
Temperature can be set from 175˚ F (80˚ C) to 450˚ F (232˚C) in 25˚ F increments. Press
and hold TEMP ( ) Button for 2 seconds to change from Fahrenheit to Celsuis.
5. POWER ( ) Button: Press to enter power mode and select power level from P1 to
P10.
6. – and + Buttons: Use to increase or decrease timer, temperature, or power level
settings.
7. Display: Shows power level ( ), temperature ( ), or time ( ). When timer is in
use, Display will toggle between set time and temperature or power level. These
icons are shown below the Display screen.
8. BOOSTER ( ) Button:
BOOSTER Button increases power to level P10 for 30 seconds,
then returns to selected temperature or selected power level. Power or Temperature must
be selected before BOOSTER Button is pressed. Use this function to quickly heat food or
liquid.
9. MAGNETIC TEST STRIP: Before cooking on this Induction Cooktop, check whether
your cookware is suitable via the magnetic strip. If the magnetic strip can stick to the
bottom of your cookware, it’s inductive.
10. HOT AFTER COOKING: The cooking surface remains hot after use. Do not
touch.
How to Use
Before first use: Only induction-ready cookware will work with induction cooktops.
Cookware must have iron in bottom of pan. Place included Magnetic Test Strip on
bottom of cookware; if it sticks, it is induction cooktop-ready.
NOTE: Cookware that works for induction cooking includes some stainless steel, steel,
and cast iron.
• Use only flat-bottomed cookware that is 4 to 10 inches (10.16 to 25.4 cm) in
diameter.
• Wipe Cooking Zone with soft, water-dampened cloth.
• Cookware must be placed on Cooking Zone for Cooktop to work. Error code “---” will
appear in Display if cookware is absent or unsuitable to use.
1. Plug Induction Cooktop into outlet. Cooktop will beep and ON/OFF ( ) Button will
flash.
2. Place cookware on Cooking Zone. Press ON/OFF ( ) Button, ON/OFF ( ) Button will
light solidly.
POWER ( )

icon lights will flash red and then turn off in
30 seconds if cookware is not in Cooking Zone and POWER or TEMP Button are not
pressed.
3. Press POWER ( ) or TEMP ( ) Button to select cooking mode.
4. For temperature mode, press TEMP ( ) button then press - or + to adjust
temperature. A beep will sound with every touch to increase or decrease temperature.
Temperature increases or decreases in 25˚F increments. For power mode, press
POWER ( ) button and then press - or + to adjust power level from P1 to P10. A beep
will sound with every touch to increase or decrease power.
5. Press TIMER ( ) Button if desired. Use – or + to set timer. Timer can be adjusted
from 1 to 150 minutes. Cooktop will turn off when set time has been reached.
6. Press ON/OFF ( ) Button to turn off.
Care and Cleaning
w WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect power before cleaning. Do not
immerse cord or plug in any liquid.
1. When finished cooking, turn cooktop OFF ( ). Unplug. Allow Cooktop to cool
completely.
2. Wipe Cooktop surface with soft, wet cloth. If further cleaning is needed, wipe
Cooktop surface with mixture of water and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive
cleaners or abrasive sponges on the Cooktop.
NOTES:
• Do NOT slide cookware over Cooktop.
• Do NOT place anything other than compatible cookware on Cooktop surface.
Troubleshooting
Error code “---” appears on Display.
• No cookware or the wrong cookware in Cooking Zone. See “Before first use”
under “How to Use” or place induction cooktop-ready cookware on Cooking
Zone.
• For other error codes in display, call our Customer Service number.
Limited Warranty
This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada. This
is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or
condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a
period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase in Canada and one (1) year
from the date of original purchase in the U.S. During this period, your exclusive remedy
is repair or replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our
option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product
to us and our returning a product or component under this warranty to you. If the
product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal
or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity
with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from accident, alteration,
abuse, or misuse. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or
gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a
warranty claim. This warranty is void if the product is used for other than single-family
household use or subjected to any voltage and waveform other than as specified on the
rating label (e.g., 120 V ~ 60 Hz).
We exclude all claims for special, incidental, and consequential damages caused
by breach of express or implied warranty. All liability is limited to the amount of the
purchase price. Every implied warranty, including any statutory warranty or condition
of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is disclaimed except to the
extent prohibited by law, in which case such warranty or condition is limited to
the duration of this written warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights.
You may have other legal rights that vary depending on where you live. Some states
or provinces do not allow limitations on implied warranties or special, incidental, or
consequential damages, so the foregoing limitations may not apply to you.

w AVERTISSEMENT

ATTENTION : SURFACE CHAUDE. La température des surfaces extérieures sera
plus élevée pendant le fonctionnement de l’appareil.
Comment fonctionne la cuisson à induction : La cuisson à induction fonctionne à
l’aide d’un champ magnétique entre les bobines d’induction sous le dessus en verre
et les matériaux ferreux (contenant du fer) dans l’ustensile de cuisson. La chaleur
provenant de l’induction est produite seulement dans le chaudron même, et non sur
la surface en verre. La plaque de cuisson à induction deviendra chaude à l’endroit où
le chaudron est placé en raison du transfert de chaleur provenant du chaudron.
