GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This microwave must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding
reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape wire for the electrical current.
This microwave is equipped with a cord that has a grounding wire with a grounding plug.
The power cord must be plugged into an outlet that is properly grounded. If the outlet is a
2 prong wall outlet, it is your responsibility to have it replaced with a properly grounded 3
prong wall outlet. The serial rating plate indicates the voltage and frequency the microwave
is designed for.
WARNING - Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualifi ed electrician or service agent if the grounding instructions are not
completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the microwave is properly
grounded.
If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3 wire extension cord that has a 3
blade grounded plug and a 3 slot receptacle that will accept the plug on the microwave.
The marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the microwave. The longer cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the
counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled by children or tripped over.
DANGER - Electric Shock Hazard: Touching some of the internal components can cause
serious personal injury or death. Do not disassemble this microwave.
WARNING - Electric Shock Hazard: Improper use of the grounded plug can result in electric
shock. Do not plug the microwave in if the grounded plug is damaged.
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similar qualifi ed person to avoid hazard.
Have a qualifi ed electrician install a grounded outlet near the microwave if the power cord
is too short.
