Solutions To Common Problems
Ice Dispenser
Cause
• Water supply is not connected.
• Ice storage container is empty.
• Freezer temperature is set too warm.
• Householdwater line valveis not
open.
• Freezerdoor is not closed.
• Icedispensingarm hasbeen heldin
formore than 4-5minutes.
Problem
Dispenser will not
dispense ice.
Correction
• Connect water supply (see page 9).
• When the first supply of ice is dropped into the container,
the dispenser should operate.
• Turn freezer control to a higher setting so that ice cubes
will be made. When first supply of ice is made, dispenser
should operate.
• Open household water line valve. Allow suff+cient time for
the ice to be made. When ice is made, the dispenser
should operate.
• Ensure freezer door is closed.
• Motor is overloaded. Motor overload ptz)tector will reset in
approximately 3 minutes. Ice can then be dispensed.
Ice dispenseris
jammed.
• Ice has melted and frozen atT)und
auger due to infrequent use,
temperature fluctuations, and/or
power outages.
• Ice cubes are jammed between ice
maker and back of ice container.
• Ice cubes are frozen together.
• Icecubes arehollow or smallerthan
normal.
• Remove ice container,thaw, andemptythe contents.
Cleancontainer,wipedry, and replacein proper position.
Whennew ice is made,dispensershouldoperate.
• Remove ice cubes that are jamming the dispenser.
• Use the dispenseroften sothat cubesdo not freeze
together.
• The ice & water filtercartridgecould be clogged.Replace
the filtercartridge.Dispensingsystemoperatesbest at 30-
100psi water pressure.Wellwater pressuresshouldfall
within this range.

• Drawand discard10-12glassesof water to freshenthe
supplyand completelyrinse out the tank.
• Connect unit to cold waterline that supplieswater to the
kitchenfaucet.
• For bestresults,usecoppertubing for water connections.
• Contact water treatment plant for help.
Water pressure is
extremely low.
• Cut-off andcut-onpressuresaretoo
low (wellsystemsonly).
• Reverseosmosissystemis in
regenerativephase.
• Havesomeoneturn up the cut-offand cut-onpressureon
the water pumpsystem (wellsystemsonly).
