Ifthetoothwas too close tothe square, backthe
bracket away withthe blockofwoodand hammer.
Tightenthe screws,raise the blade and recheck.
Repeat untilblade isparallelto mitergage groove.
Ifthe blade Is not parattel,adjustthe fronttable
bracket.Tiltthe blade to45"with the bladelock
handleand bevel handwheel.
Fromthe backofthe saw, toosenthe bolts holding
the front table bracket,as well as the reartable
bracket.
Repositionthe bladeto 90"with the bevel hand-
wheel and blade lock handle.
Lowertheblade and movethe bracketsas needed.
Retightenall bracket screws.
Raise the bladeand recheck. Repeat untilthe
bladeis parallelto the miter gage groove.
Place thethroatplate in the openingand pushit
towardthe rearof saw baseto engage the spring
clip.
Note: The keyslotin thethroatplate willdrop overthe
frontscrew.
Tightenthe screw. Do not allow the throatplateto
bow up above thetable surface.

SETTING THE BEVEL STOPS AND INDICATOR

,_ WARNING: Make sure theswitchis off, the
switchkey isremoved, and yoursaw is
unplugged.Failureto do socould resultin
accidentalstarting,resultingin serious personal
injury.
The bevel scale shouldshow 0"whenthe blade isset
verticalat 90"totable, and 45" when blade isat 45" tilt.
Raise the blade all the way up by turningthe height
handwheel. Liftthe bladeguard.
Loosenbevel lookhandleand turnthe bevel
handwheelclockwisetotiltthe blade, Reverse it
and turnthe handwheelcounterclockwiseuntilit
stops.
Check the bladeangle witha combinationsquare.
Don't letthe squaretoucha bladetooth.The blade
shouldbe at 90"and th_ scaleindicatorat 0".
Note: The scaleindicatoristhe plasticplate on the
scaleat thefront ofthe cabinet.
Ifthe scaleindicatordoes notpointto 0", loosenthe
scale indicatorwitha screwdriver,adjustit within
the s_ot,and retightenthe screw.
If the bladeangle iswrong,adjustthe 90"stop
screw (leftofthe blade, lookingfrom the front). Start
byturningthe 90" stopscrewthree or fourturns
with a 4 mm hexkey.

Turn the bevel handwhee]clockwiseonce,then
back counterclockwisetosquare bladewithtable.
Tightenthe 90" stopscrewand recheckthatthe
blade is squarein a 90" position,If not,repeat,
When theblade issquare, checkthe scale indica-
tor. If itis notat zero, resetthe scaleindicatoras
before.
