Surge Protector
User Manual
Read and follow all instructions and warranty information prior to use to
ensure protection to connected equipment and warranty compliance.
1. Set the power switch to the “OFF” position. Plug the surge
protector into a standard grounded wall receptacle by fully
inserting the plug and ensuring there are no exposed conductors.
2. Make sure electronic equipment is turned off before plugging
into the surge protector outlets. Do not use extension cords to
connect equipment to the surge protector.
3. Set the power switch to the “ON” position. The surge protector
will now be providing power and surge protection.
4. Connected equipment can be turned on.
NOTE: Check the blue “Protected” light periodically. A glowing
blue indicator light shows that surge protection is being provided.
If the blue “Protected” indicator light stops glowing, the surge
protective components have expired* and will no longer provide
surge protection. In this event, the Connected Equipment
Warranty is no longer valid and the surge protector
should be replaced.
In the event the protection capacity is exceeded by a power surge
or the protection components expire, the power will be permanently
shut down to the outlets, ensuring surge protection for your
electronic equipment. At this time, the surge protector has reached
end of life and must be replaced.

Jasco Products Company warrants this surge protector to be free
of defects in workmanship and/or materials for the life* of the surge
protector. If such a defect should arise during the life of the surge
protector, Jasco will, at its option, either repair or replace the surge
protector without charge. This warranty does not cover damage
caused by lightning, accident, misuse or alterations to the
surge protector.
* This surge protector, like all surge protectors, has a nite lifespan.
Even under normal circumstances and in the absence of defects,
the product’s life will expire when the surge protector’s component
capacity has been exceeded, thereby ceasing to provide protection
from surges. In this event, the limited-lifetime warranty is no longer
valid and the surge protector should be replaced.
Warranty replacement procedure
1. Call Jasco Consumer Care at 1-800-654-8483 to get a Return
Authorization Number (RA#), shipping instructions and a
prepaid return address label.
2. After you have received the prepaid return address label, return
the Jasco surge protector, freight prepaid, to Jasco. Surge
protectors returned to Jasco must have an RA# included in the
mailing address to be accepted.
3. The original purchaser will be asked to send the surge protector,
a copy of the sales receipt for the product, his/her name,
address, phone number and a description of the problem.

Lea y siga todas las instrucciones y la información de garantía
antes de utilizar el equipo, a n de asegurar la protección del equipo
conectado y el cumplimiento de la garantía.
1. Ponga el interruptor de potencia a la posición APAGADO
(OFF). Enchufe el protector contra picos a un tomacorriente
normal con toma a tierra, cerciorándose que esté bien
enchufado y que no haya ningún alambre expuesto.
2. Cerciórese que todo el equipo electrónico esté apagado
antes de enchufarlo a los conectores del protector
contra picos. No utilice cordones de prolongación
para conectar el equipo al protector contra picos.
3. Ponga el interruptor de potencia a la posición
ENCENDIDO (ON). El protector contra picos ahora le
proporcionará potencia y protección contra picos.
4. El equipo conectado al protector ya se puede encender.Sepa
de un vistazo si su estabilizador de voltaje está funcionando.
NOTA: Periódicamente revise el funcionamiento de la luz azul
indicando “PROTECCIÓN” . Una luz de color azul indica que existe
protección contra sobretensiones. Si la luz azul “Protected” deja
de iluminar, los componentes de protección contra sobretensiones
han caducado* y ya no se proporcionará más protección contra
sobretensiones. En este caso, la Garantía para Equipos Conectados
ya no es válida y es necesario remplazar el protector contra
sobretensiones.
En caso de que una sobretensión de la corriente eléctrica
supere la capacidad de protección, el indicador (o indicadores)
lumínico no se encenderá o se cortará permanentemente el
