Proper installation is the responsibility of installer.
Product tailure due to improper installation is not
covered trader the Warranty:
REFRIGERATOR LOCATION
Do not install tile refl'igerator where the temperature
will go below 60°F (l 6°C) because it will not rtm
often enough to maintain proper temperatures.
Install it on a floor strong enough to sui)port it fiflly
loaded.
ROLLERS
The rollers have 3 purposes:
Rollers a(!iust so the door ch)ses easily when opened
about hallway.
Rollers a_!iust so the refrigerator is fimlly i)ositioned
on the floor and does not wobble.
Rollers allow you to m ore the reti_igerator away fl'om
the wall tot cleaning.
To adjust the rollers, remove the base grille by pulling it
out at the bottom.
Tm'n the roller a({justing screws dockwise to raise the
reti_igerato_; comlterclocMvise to lower it. Use an
a(!iustable wrench (3/8" hex head bolt) or pliers.
To replace base grille, line up the clips on back of grille
between the bar and the bottom of the cabinet. Push
torward tmtil grille snaps into place.
WATER SUPPLY TO THE ICEMAKER
(on some models)
If the refrigerator has an icemaker, it will have to be
connected to a cold water line. A GE water SUl)ply kit
is available at extra cost fl'om your dealer, by visiting
our _'ebsite at www.Hotpohlt.com (in Canada, at
www.geappliances.ca), or fl'om Parts and Accessories,
800.626.2002.
CLEARANCES
_Mlow the following clearances fi_r ease of installation,
proper air circulation and I)ltunbing, and electrical
connections.
Sides 1/8" (4ram) * Top 1" (25 ram) * Back 1" (25 ram)
A door clearance of./4 (]9 unn) is needed fi,r a 90 ° door
opening which proxides better access to fi_od storage area.
DOOR ALIGNMENT
Pdter levding, make sm'e that doors are e\en at the top.
To make the doors even, a(!iust the reti_igerator dora:
Using a 5/16" socket wrench, mm the door a_!iusting
screw to the right to raise tile dora; to the left to lower
it. (A nyhm plug, embedded in the threads of the pin,
prevents the pin fl'om turning tmless a wrench is used.)
O _Mter one or two ttwns oI the wrench, open and close
the refl_igerator compartment door and check the
alignment at the top of the doo_s.
