fore storage. Store in a clean dry area.
Lightlyoil external metal surfacesand
guide bar.
Oilthe chain and wrap it in heavy pa-
per or cloth.
FUELSYSTEM

labeled IMPORTANTregarding the use
ofgasohol in your chainsaw.
Fuel stabilizer isan acceptable altema-
tive in minimizingthe formation offuel
gumdepositsdudng storage.Add stabi-
lizer tothe gasoline in the fuel tank or
fuel storagesontainer. Followthe mix
instructions-foundon stabilizercontain-
ers. Run engineat least 5 minutes after
adding stabilizer.
CRAFTSMAN 40:1, 2-cycle engine oil
(air cooled) is especiallyblended with
fuel stabilizer.Ifyou do notuse this
Sears oil,you can add a fuel stabilizer
to your fuel tank.
ENGINE
Remove spark plugand pour 1 tea-
spoon of 40:1, 2-cycle engine oil(air
cooled)throughthe spark plugopen°
ing.Slowly pullthe starter rope8 to
10 timesto distr_ute oil.
Replace spark plug withnew one of
recommendedtype and heat range.
Clean air tilter.
Check entire unitfor loosescrews,
nuts, and bolts. Replace any dam-
aged, broken,or worn parts.
At the beginningof the next season,
use onlyfreshfuel havingthe proper
gasolineto oil ratio.
OTHER
Do notstore gasolinefromone sea-
son to another.
Replace your gasolinecan ifitstarts
to rust.
