Using a Bluetooth
headphone
By pairing a Bluetooth headphone to the
handset, you can enjoy hands-free
conversations when talking over the phone.
Important:
R Your Bluetooth headphone must support
the Hands Free Profile (HFP) specification.
R Up to 4 Bluetooth headphones can be
paired to the handset.
R Only 1 Bluetooth headphone can be used
with the unit at a time.
R For best performance, we recommend
using your Bluetooth headphone within 3 m
(10 feet) of the handset. The handset can
communicate with Bluetooth headphones
within an approximately 10 m (33 feet)
range without any obstacles or line of sight.
Turning Bluetooth feature on/off
Once this feature is turned on, the handset
can perform other Bluetooth functions. The
default setting is “Off”.
1 To turn on:
Press MPAIRN.
To turn off:

Pairing a Bluetooth headphone
to the handset
Important:
R Refer to the headphone’s operating
instructions. If your headphone PIN is not
“0000”, change the Bluetooth PIN
beforehand (page 18).
1 Bluetooth headphone:
Set your headphone to pairing mode.
2 Handset:
Press and hold MPAIRN for about 3
seconds.
3 Wait until a long beep sounds.
R When
is displayed, the
headphone is available for use.

Note:
R In step 2, if the handset has been paired
with a maximum of 4 headphones, you can
overwrite any unwanted headphone by
pressing MYESN. a MbN: Select the desired
headphone. a MSELECTN
R If you cannot pair the headphones to the
handset, make sure that the Bluetooth
headphones are not connected to another
Bluetooth device.
Connecting/disconnecting a
Bluetooth headphone
Headphones that are on can be connected
automatically with the paired handset, while
headphones that are off will be disconnected
from the handset.
If the headphones do not connect
automatically or if you want to use them with
another Bluetooth device, you may need to
connect/disconnect them manually.
Important:
R Make sure that the headphone is turned on.
1 To connect/disconnect:
Press MPAIRN. a MbN: Select the desired
headphone. a MSELECTN
2 MbN: “Connect” or “Disconnect”a
MSELECTN
R A long beep sounds.
R If another headphone is already
connected when “Connect” is
selected, the unit prompts you to
disconnect the Bluetooth connection
with the current headphone. a MYESN

Note:
R A disconnected headphone is not unpaired
from the handset, so pairing it to the
handset again is unnecessary.
