Thank you for purchasing the One For All Essential 8 Device Universal
Remote Control. The remote can be used to control up to 8 Audio Video
Devices such as a TV, Set Top Box, Blu-ray Player or Sound Bar and boasts
multiple extra features to make the most of your living room experience.
The remote also features a backlight for easy control in a darkened room.
This manual will help you to set up the Essential 8 to control all of your
devices and take advantage of its features.
Your remote requires 2 x AA / LR6 batteries. Please insert them as shown
below. Alkaline batteries are recommended.

Power Switches your devices on and o
Setup This key is used to set up the Essential remote
Input Used to select Input on devices
Device keys These keys are used to select which device the Essential 8
currently controls. After pressing the TV key, the remote
will control your TV. To switch to controlling another
device, simply press the appropriate key. The devices that
can be programmed to each key are as follows:
TV: All televisions such as LED, LCD , Plasma, OLED etc.
STREAM: Streaming devices such as an Apple TV, Roku
Box etc. Also works Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
STB:
Set Top Boxes, including Satellite, Cable and DTV.
AUX: A second TV
AUDIO: Audio devices including Sound Bars, AV
Receivers and Hi-Fi
BLURAY: Blu-ray Players and DVD Players / Recorders
DVD: DVD Players / Recorders and Blu-ray Players
SOUND: Audio devices including Sound Bars, AV
Receivers and Hi-Fi
Activities Control up to 3 of your devices in one mode Watch TV,

Volume Up and Down Control the volume of the current device. You can
also set up these keys to always control one device. For
details see the Volume Lock feature.
Last Channel Changes to the last channel viewed.
Mute Mutes the volume of the current device. You can also set
up this key to always control one device. For details see
the Volume Lock feature.
Channel Up & Down Change channels on the current device.
RGYB keys
Quick access buttons for the menu of the current device.
They can also be programmed to select your favorite
channels. See the Favorite Channel Macros feature for details
App Shortcut Keys Keys for starting streaming apps. See the App Shortcut
Keys section for details.
Digits Select channels on the current device. On Audio devices,
these keys will select individual inputs.
Delimiter “Dash” key
Selects sub channels such as local news and extra
functions in the Menu mode of your Set Top Box
Channel Enter On some devices press this key after using the digit keys
to enter your channel number
Backlight On / O
Turns the backlight on or o. When on, any key press will
activate the backlight for 10 seconds. Press this key to
turn the backlight o and again to turn back on.

The Essential 8 remote is pre-programmed to control some of the most
popular devices out of the box. If you have one of the following devices
try the putting the batteries in and pressing the device key, and then
press a few keys to see if the remote works your device:

devices to set up, there are 3 ways to do this. The easiest is SimpleSet
which is used for the common brands and devices.
If the brand of your device is shown in the SimpleSet list next to a digit
key, you can use the SimpleSet system described in this section, please
locate the brand of your device and note the key associated with it.

To set up your device:
1. Turn on your device (not on standby) and point the Essential
remote towards it. If you are setting up a Streaming device,
make sure a movie or TV show is playing.
2. Press the Device key you wish to set up (for
example TV).
3. Hold down the Setup until the LED under the
Device key blinks twice

SETUP BY CODE
4. Hold down the digit for your brand and device as
listed in the tables above - e.g. 3 for a LG TV.
5. The remote will send the Power key every 3 seconds, but if
your device does not have a Power function (for example a
streaming box like Apple TV) the remote will send the Play/
Pause function.
6. As soon as your device reacts by turning o or Pausing
(Streaming box only) release the digit.
7. The LED will blink twice and the remote should now operate
your device.
• If you nd one or more keys do not work as you expect, start again at
step 2 – the remote will start with the next code in the memory.
If the brand of your device is not listed in the SimpleSet feature, you
can set up by trying codes individually. To do this rstly locate your
brand in the Code List. Codes are listed by brand and device, and in
order of popularity.
1. Turn on your device (not on standby) and point the Essential
remote towards it.
2. Press the Device key you wish to set up (for
example TV)
3. Hold down the Setup until the LED under the
Device key blinks twice
4. Enter the rst 4 digit code listed for your brand (e.g.
1840 for LG).
5. The LED will blink twice on the last digit of the code.
6. Now aim the remote towards your device and press
the Power key.*
7. If the device turns o your remote is ready to use. If not, repeat
steps 2-6 with the next code in the list.
* Note: If your original remote did not have a Power key, try testing
with a dierent key at step 6. For example try pressing Play or Pause
when setting up and streaming box and see if the box responds.

LEARNING
Your Essential remote control can learn any function from any other
working remote control. This is a quick and easy one-time setup that
allows to control any infrared controlled device you have in your living
room. It also allows you to add a key or keys that may be missing to a
spare key on the Essential.
To do this, rstly make sure you have all your original remote controls
to hand, and that they have working batteries in.
To learn functions, the original remote should be approximately 2
inches from the Essential remote, pointing towards it:
1. Press the Device key for the device you want to
learn functions onto (e.g. TV).
2. Hold down the Setup until the LED under the
Device key blinks twice.
3. Press 975 – the LED should blink twice.
4. Press and release the key you want to learn a
function onto (for example the TV Power key) –
the LED will begin to ash rapidly.
5. Press and release* the corresponding key on the
original remote, for example Power.
6. The LED will blink twice to indicate the key has been learned
correctly.
7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each key you want to learn –
remember you can learn from multiple remotes, but only
one function per key.
8. When you have learned all the functions you
require, press and hold Setup until the LED blinks
twice.
* Some remotes send commands dierently. If you nd a function
cannot be learned, try holding down the key on the original remote
instead of pressing and releasing.
Hints:
• If the LED shows one long blink at step 5, the function was not
learned correctly, please try again from step 4.
• If you nd one or more keys don’t work properly after set up, you can
re-enter the learning mode at any time by repeating the procedure
from step 1.
• If one or more of your original remotes aren’t working, you can still
set up the Essential remote by SimpleSet or Code Set Up.

VOLUME LOCK
CHANNEL SHORTCUT MACROS
If you primarily use one device for controlling volume, for example
a Sound Bar or Audio Video Receiver, it’s possible to program your
Essential remote to only control that device when you use the Volume
Up, Down and Mute keys. To do this:
1. Hold down the Setup until the LED under the
Device key blinks twice.
2. Press 993 – the LED should blink twice.
3. Press the device key for the device to always control
volume – for example Audio.
4. The LED will blink twice.
From now on, pressing the Volume Up, Down or Mute keys will always
control the Audio device, no matter what device you are controlling.
To unlock the volume, and return the remote to controlling each
device’s volume individually, the procedure is:
1. Hold down the Setup until the LED under the
Device key blinks twice
2. Press 993 – the LED should blink twice
3. Press VOLUME DOWN – the LED will blink four
times and Volume is now unlocked.
As well as their normal functionality, the Red, Green, Yellow and Blue
keys can be reprogrammed to select your favorite channels by genre. If
you press and release each of these keys, they will perform exactly the
same function as your original remote.
However they can be reprogrammed so that when they are held down
for 3 seconds they will send a channel number, then when held down
again for 3 seconds, they will send a dierent channel number. You can
group these channels by genre such as Sports, News, Movies and Kids.
Deleting a learned function
If you want to delete a learned function and return that keys to its
original state, you can use the following procedure:
1.
Press the Device key for the device you want to learn functions onto

3. Press 976 – the LED should blink twice
4. Press the key you want to reset twice – the LED should blink
twice and the learned function has been deleted.

APP SHORTCUT KEYS
The procedure to program is as follows: Say for example, the rst
3 Sports channels are on channels 200, 201 and 239, you can assign
shortcuts to these channels on the Red (Sports) key. To do this:
Firstly select the device you use to watch live TV. For example if you are
a DirecTV subscriber and you have set up your Set Top Box on the STB
key, press STB. Now you can program the channel shortcuts.
1. Hold down the Setup key and the Red key until the
red LED blinks twice
2. Enter the rst channel number (200)
3. Press and release the Red key
4.
Enter the next channel number (in this example 201)
5.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for each channel shortcut you want to add
6. After entering the last channel number you want,
press and hold the SETUP key.
The red LED will blink twice and the shortcuts are now programmed.
When watching live TV, simply hold down the Red key for 3 seconds,
and the rst Channel Shortcut will be sent (in this example channel
200). The next time you hold down the Red Key, the shortcut for the
next Channel Shortcut will be sent (in this case channel 201).
You can reprogram each of the dierent color keys with dierent
lists of channel numbers, by holding down the Setup and a dierent
colored key at step 1, and pressing and releasing the same key at
step 3. Each colored key has a dierent icon to help you remember
the channels that you have stored there. You can program up to 10
dierent channel numbers per key.
If you wish to reset the key to default, the procedure is as follows:
1. Press the device key you have programmed the
shortcuts on (for example STB).
2. Hold down the Setup and the key you wish to reset
(for example the Green key) until the red LED blinks
twice.
3. Press and release the key to reset (for example the
Green key).
4. Hold down the SETUP key until the red light blinks
twice.
The key is now reset.
The Essential features three App Shortcut Keys which can be used to
open apps on your Smart Devices. If your original remote control has
a Netlx, Amazon Prime Video or YouTube key, these keys will perform
the same function.

ACTIVITIES
However if you did not have a key like this, but still had the ability
to watch a streaming service, you can use this key as a shortcut by
programming a macro on it. Most AV devices which are connected to
the internet, such as Smart TVs or streaming Set Top Boxes have one or
more applications they can run to access TV viewing via the internet.
Examples of these would be Netix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Hulu or
similar.
To program the macro, you rst need to know the device you use to
access the service, and then the sequence of keys you need to press to
always bring up the service you prefer, For example, some Panasonic
TVs will start Netix by pressing the Apps key, then Menu Down Twice,
and nally the OK key. Or on an Apple TV, the sequence is Menu, Menu
Down and OK.
Once you have determined the sequence for your device, follow these
steps:
1. Sit in front of your device with It switched on (not on standby)
2. Hold down the App Shortcut key until the LED
blinks twice.
3. Press the device key for the device you want to use
for the macro (e.g. Stream)
4. Now perform the sequence of keys exactly as would normally.
The remote will operate your device and the macro is recorded
in real time - so if it normally takes a few seconds for your
device to react don’t worry.
5. One you have nished the sequence - and the
Streaming Service has started on your device - hold
down the App Shortcut key until the LED blinks
twice and goes out. The macro is now stored.
Tips
• Make sure the Essential remote Is operating the device in question
before programming
• If you nd the Macro doesn’t work as expected, you can just repeat
the same sequence to reprogram
• When programming, wait for your device to respond rst, the remote
will remember the timing
• The App Shortcut macro is tied to one device, remember to make sure
you are watching the correct device
An Activity is a combination of devices.
On a standard universal remote control if you want to control dierent
devices you need to swap between them using the device keys. So you
wanted to control the input of your TV, the channels and guide of your
DirecTV and the volume of your sound bar, you would need to swap
between these by pressing the TV, STB and Audio keys.
On the Essential remotes these devices can be grouped into one
Activity mode, so after pressing watch TV, the Input key will control the
TV, the Volume Up, Down and Mute will control the Sound Bar and the
other keys will control the Set Top Box.

AV SHIFT
The Essential remote has 3 Activity modes, specically Watch TV, Listen
To Music and Watch Movie.
Each of these modes has a choice of devices to combine.
These are:

Combination 2 – TV + STB
Combination 3 – TV + AUDIO
Combination 4 – TV + SOUND
Combination 5 – TV + STB + SOUND
Listen To Music
Combination 1 – TV + BLU + AUDIO (default)
Combination 2 – TV + BLU + SOUND
Combination 3 – TV + STREAM + AUDIO
Combination 4 – TV + STREAM + SOUND
Combination 5 – AUDIO only
Watch Movie
Combination 1 – TV + STREAM + AUDIO (default)
Combination 2 – TV + STREAM
Combination 3 – TV + BLU
Combination 4 – TV + BLU + AUDIO

If you set the default devices for any Activity on the remote (for
example a TV, STB and Audio for Watch TV) that Activity will be set up
automatically on the remote.
If you would like to change to a dierent combination, the procedure
is as follows:
1. Hold down SETUP until the LED under the device
blinks twice. The LED under the current device will
stay lit.
2. Press the Activity key you want to set up (e.g. Watch
TV).
3. Press the number of the combination you want to
set – e.g 3 For TV + AUD in Watch TV.
4. The LED will blink twice and go out.
To access the Activities, simply press the ACTIVITY key. You can return
to controlling by device by using any Device key.
As the AV key is intended to select the input on your TV and most TVs
use a menu to select from a list of inputs, when the AV key is pressed
in an Activity, the Menu Up, Down, Left, Right and OK keys temporarily
control the TV. If the OK key is pressed, or no key is pressed for ten
seconds, these keys will revert to controlling the relevant device for the
Activity (e.g. STB in Watch TV Mode).

POWER MACRO
SETUP BY ACTIVITY
If you hold down the Power key for 2 seconds in any Activity, the
remote will send the Power function for each device contained within
that Activity. So for example, holding Power in the default setting for
Watch TV will turn both the TV and Set Top Box on or o.
As well as selecting your device combinations, Activities can be used to
set up a combination of devices.
If you have a combination of devices of the below brands, you can use
this to easily set up your Essential remote to control all 3 devices with
just one step using 3 digits.
The combination of devices for each Activity is:
Watch TV
TV + STB + AUDIO
Listen To Music
TV + BLU + AUDIO
Watch Movie
TV + STREAM + AUDIO
If you want to use one of those combinations for your Activity, the next
step is to check if you have the devices below:

If you have the right combination, just note the digit for each device.
For example, if you have a Sony TV, a DirecTV receiver and an Onkyo
Audio device like a sound bar, you can use the digits 2, 1 and 4 to
represent your combination.

To set up the Watch TV Activity as well as the three devices involved in
that Activity, the procedure is:
1. Hold down the Activity key you want to set up until
the LED blinks twice.
2. Enter the 3 digit code for your 3 devices (e.g. 214).
3. The LED should blink twice and all 3 of your devices and the
Watch TV Activity are now set up.
From now on, the TV device key will control a Sony TV, the STB Device
controls a DirecTV receiver and the Audio key controls an Onkyo sound
bar, and your Watch TV Activity combines all three of these.
You can repeat this for the Listen to Music and Watch Movie Activities
replacing the second digit with the brand of Blu-ray player or
Streaming box, as long as they are listed above.
If not, you should use the SimpleSet or Code Setup methods listed
earlier.

Encendido Enciende y apaga sus dispositivos
Setup Esta tecla se usa para congurar el control remoto Essential

El control remoto Essential 8 está preprogramado para controlar
algunos de los dispositivos más populares desde el primer momento.

Para congurar su dispositivo:

CONFIGURACIÓN POR CÓDIGO
4. Mantenga presionado el dígito correspondiente a
su marca y dispositivo, como se indica en las tablas
anteriores; por ejemplo, 3 para un televisor LG.
5. El control remoto enviará la tecla de encendido cada 3
segundos, pero si su dispositivo no tiene una función de

6. Tan pronto como su dispositivo reaccione apagándose o
pausando (solo caja de transmisión), suelte el dígito.
7. El LED parpadeará dos veces y el control remoto debería
comenzar a operar su dispositivo.
• Si descubre que una o más teclas no funcionan como esperaba,

Si la marca de su dispositivo no gura en la función SimpleSet,
puede congurarla probando códigos individualmente. Para hacer
esto, primero ubique su marca en la Lista de códigos. Los códigos se
enumeran por marca y dispositivo, y en orden de popularidad.
1. Encienda el dispositivo (no en espera) y apunte el control

7. Si el dispositivo se apaga, el control remoto está listo para ser
utilizado. De lo contrario, repita los pasos 2 a 6 con el siguiente
código de la lista.
* Nota: Si el control remoto original no tiene una tecla de encendido,
intente probar con una tecla diferente en el paso 6. Por ejemplo,
intente presionar Reproducir o Pausa al congurar una caja de

SETUP
APRENDIZAJE
El control remoto Essential puede aprender cualquier función de
otro control remoto en funcionamiento. Esta es una conguración
única, simple y rápida que permite controlar cualquier dispositivo por
infrarrojos que tenga en su sala. También le permite agregar una o
varias teclas que falten a una tecla adicional del Essential.
Para hacer esto, primero asegúrese de tener a mano todos los controles
remotos originales con baterías que funcionen.
Para aprender las funciones, el control remoto original debe estar
aproximadamente a 2 pulgadas del control remoto Essential,
apuntando hacia él:
1. Presione la tecla del dispositivo en el que desea
aprender las funciones (por ejemplo, TV).
2.
Mantenga presionada Setup hasta que el LED debajo
de la tecla del dispositivo parpadee dos veces.
3. Presione 975; el LED debería parpadear dos veces.

7. Repita los pasos 4 y 5 para cada tecla que desee aprender.
Recuerde que puede aprender de varios controles remotos,
pero solo una función por tecla.
8. Cuando haya aprendido todas las funciones que
necesita, mantenga presionada la tecla Setup hasta
que el LED parpadee dos veces.
* Algunos controles remotos envían comandos de manera diferente. Si descubre
que una función no se puede aprender, intente mantener presionada la tecla en
el control remoto original en lugar de presionar y soltar.
Indicaciones adicionales:
• Si el LED muestra un parpadeo largo en el paso 5, la función no se
aprendió correctamente y debe intentar de nuevo desde el paso 4.
•
Si descubre que una o más teclas no funcionan correctamente después
de la conguración, puede volver a ingresar al modo de aprendizaje en
cualquier momento repitiendo el procedimiento desde el paso 1.
• Si uno o más de los controles remotos originales no funcionan,
puede congurar el control remoto Essential mediante los métodos

BLOQUEO DE VOLUMEN
MACROS DE ACCESOS DIRECTOS A CANALES
Si utiliza principalmente un dispositivo para controlar el volumen,
por ejemplo, una barra de sonido o un receptor de audio y video,
es posible programar el control remoto Essential para controlar ese
dispositivo solo cuando usa las teclas para subir, bajar y silenciar el
volumen. Para hacerlo:
1.
Mantenga presionada Setup hasta que el LED debajo
de la tecla del dispositivo parpadee dos veces.
2. Presione 993; el LED debería parpadear dos veces.
3. Presione la tecla del dispositivo para que controle
siempre el volumen, por ejemplo, Audio.
4. El LED parpadeará dos veces.
De ahora en adelante, presionar las teclas para subir, bajar o silenciar el
volumen siempre controlará el dispositivo de audio, sin importar qué
dispositivo esté controlando.
Para desbloquear el volumen y hacer que el control remoto controle
nuevamente el volumen de cada dispositivo individualmente, el
procedimiento es el siguiente:
1.
Mantenga presionada Setup hasta que el LED debajo
de la tecla del dispositivo parpadee dos veces
2. Presione 993; el LED debería parpadear dos veces
3. Pulse BAJAR VOLUMEN: El LED parpadeará cuatro
veces y el volumen ya está desbloqueado.
Además de su funcionalidad normal, las teclas roja, verde, amarilla
y azul se pueden reprogramar para seleccionar sus canales favoritos
por género. Si presiona y suelta cada una de estas teclas, realizarán
exactamente la misma función que su control remoto original.
Sin embargo, pueden reprogramarse de manera que cuando se man-
tengan presionadas durante 3 segundos envíen un número de canal
y, luego, cuando se mantengan presionadas nuevamente durante 3
segundos, envíen un número de canal diferente. Puede agrupar estos
canales por género, como Deportes, Noticias, Películas y Niños.
Eliminar una función aprendida
Si desea eliminar una función aprendida y que esas teclas vuelvan a su
estado original, puede utilizar el siguiente procedimiento:
1.
Presione la tecla del dispositivo en el que desea aprender las funciones

Mantenga presionada Setup hasta que el LED debajo
de la tecla del dispositivo parpadee dos veces
3. Presione 976; el LED debería parpadear dos veces
4. Presione dos veces la tecla que desea restablecer; el LED debe
parpadear dos veces y la función aprendida se habrá eliminado.

TECLAS DE ACCESO DIRECTO A APLICACIONES
El procedimiento para programar es el siguiente: Digamos, por
ejemplo, que los primeros 3 canales de Deportes son 200, 201 y
239. Puede asignar accesos directos a estos canales en la tecla roja
(Deportes). Para hacerlo:
En primer lugar, seleccione el dispositivo que usa para ver televisión
en vivo. Por ejemplo, si es suscriptor de DirecTV y ha congurado su
decodicador en la tecla STB, presione STB. Ahora puede programar los
accesos directos del canal.
1. Mantenga presionada la tecla Setup y la tecla roja
hasta que el LED rojo parpadee dos veces
2. Ingrese el primer número de canal (200)
3. Presione y suelte la tecla roja
4.
Ingrese el siguiente número de canal (201)
5.
Repita los pasos 3 y 4 para cada acceso directo de canal que
desee agregar
6. Después de ingresar el último número de canal que
desea, mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP.
El LED rojo parpadeará dos veces y los accesos directos quedarán
programados. Cuando vea televisión en vivo, simplemente mantenga
presionada la tecla roja durante 3 segundos y se enviará el primer
acceso directo de canal (en este ejemplo, el canal 200). La próxima vez
que mantenga presionada la tecla roja, se enviará el acceso directo
para el siguiente canal (en este caso, el canal 201). Puede reprogramar
cada una de las teclas de color con diferentes listas de números de
canal manteniendo presionada la tecla Setup y una tecla de color
diferente en el paso 1, y presionando y soltando la misma tecla en
el paso 3. Cada tecla de color tiene un ícono diferente para ayudarlo
a recordar los canales que ha almacenado. Puede programar hasta
10 números de canal por tecla. Si desea restablecer la tecla al valor
predeterminado, el procedimiento es el siguiente:
1. Presione la tecla del dispositivo en el que programó
los accesos directos (por ejemplo, STB).
2. Mantenga presionada la tecla Setup y la tecla que
desea restablecer (por ejemplo, la tecla verde) hasta
que el LED rojo parpadee dos veces.
3. Presione y suelte la tecla que se restablecerá (por
ejemplo, la tecla verde).
4.
Mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP hasta que la luz
roja parpadee dos veces.
La tecla queda restablecida.
El Essential cuenta con tres teclas de acceso directo a aplicaciones que
se pueden usar para abrir aplicaciones en sus dispositivos inteligentes.
Si el control remoto original tiene una tecla Netix, Amazon Prime
Video o YouTube, estas teclas realizarán la misma función.

ACTIVIDADES
Sin embargo, si no cuenta con teclas de ese tipo, pero sí tiene la
capacidad de ver un servicio de transmisión, puede usar esta tecla
como acceso directo programando una macro en ella. La mayoría de los
dispositivos AV que están conectados a Internet, como los televisores
inteligentes o los decodicadores de transmisión, pueden ejecutar una
o más aplicaciones para acceder a la televisión a través de Internet.
Algunos ejemplos son Netix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Hulu o similares.
Para programar la macro, primero debe conocer el dispositivo que
utiliza para acceder al servicio, y luego la secuencia de teclas que
debe presionar para que aparezca siempre el servicio que preere. Por
ejemplo, algunos televisores Panasonic iniciarán Netix presionando
la tecla Apps, luego la tecla de menú abajo dos veces, y nalmente la
tecla OK. En un Apple TV, la secuencia es Menu, menú abajo y OK.
Una vez que haya determinado la secuencia para su dispositivo, siga estos pasos:
1. Siéntese frente al dispositivo encendido (no en espera)
2. Mantenga presionada la tecla de acceso directo a
aplicaciones hasta que el LED parpadee dos veces.
3. Presione la tecla del dispositivo para el dispositivo
que desea usar para la macro (por ejemplo, Stream)
4. Ahora realice la secuencia de teclas como lo haría normal-
mente. El control remoto operará el dispositivo y la macro se
guardará en tiempo real, por eso el dispositivo puede tardar
unos segundos en reaccionar.
5.
Una vez que haya terminado la secuencia, y el
servicio de transmisión haya comenzado en el
dispositivo, mantenga presionada la tecla de acceso
directo a aplicaciones hasta que el LED parpadee dos
veces y se apague. La macro quedará almacenada.
Consejos
• Asegúrese de que el control remoto Essential esté operando el
dispositivo antes de programar
• Si descubre que la macro no funciona como se esperaba, puede
repetir la secuencia para reprogramar
• Al programar, espere a que su dispositivo responda; el control remoto
recordará el tiempo

Una actividad es una combinación de dispositivos.
En un control remoto universal estándar, si desea controlar diferentes
dispositivos, debe intercambiarlos utilizando las teclas del dispositivo.
Si desea controlar la entrada del televisor, los canales y la guía de
DirecTV y el volumen de la barra de sonido, debe desplazarse entre
ellos presionando las teclas TV, STB y Audio.
En los controles remotos Essential, estos dispositivos se pueden
agrupar en un modo de actividad, por lo que después de presionar
Watch TV, la tecla Input controlará el televisor, las teclas para subir,
bajar y silenciar el volumen controlarán la barra de sonido y las otras
teclas controlarán el decodicador.

AV SHIFT
El control remoto Essential tiene 3 modos de actividad, especícamen-
te Watch TV, Listen To Music y Watch Movie.
Cada uno de estos modos tiene una variedad de dispositivos para combinar.
Estos son:

Si congura los dispositivos predeterminados para cualquier actividad
en el control remoto (por ejemplo, TV, STB y Audio para Watch TV), esa
actividad se congurará automáticamente en el control remoto.
Si desea cambiar a una combinación diferente, el procedimiento es el
siguiente:
1.
Mantenga presionada SETUP hasta que el LED debajo
del dispositivo parpadee dos veces. El LED debajo del
dispositivo actual permanecerá encendido.
2. Presione la tecla de actividad que desea congurar
(por ejemplo, Watch TV).
3.
Presione el número de la combinación que desea
congurar, por ejemplo, 3 para TV + AUD en Watch TV.
4. El LED parpadeará dos veces y se apagará.
Para acceder a las actividades, simplemente presione la tecla ACTIVITY.
Puede volver a controlar por dispositivo utilizando cualquier tecla de
dispositivo.
Como la tecla AV está diseñada para seleccionar la entrada en su
televisor y la mayoría de los televisores usan un menú para seleccionar
entre una lista de entradas, cuando se presiona la tecla AV en una
actividad, las teclas de menú arriba, abajo, izquierda, derecha y OK
controlan temporalmente el televisor. Si se presiona la tecla OK, o no
se presiona ninguna tecla durante diez segundos, estas teclas volverán
a controlar el dispositivo correspondiente a la actividad (por ejemplo,
STB en el modo Watch TV).

CONFIGURACIÓN POR ACTIVIDAD
Si mantiene presionada la tecla de encendido durante 2 segundos
en cualquier actividad, el control remoto enviará la función de
encendido para cada dispositivo contenido en esa actividad. Entonces,
por ejemplo, si mantiene presionada la tecla de encendido en la
conguración predeterminada para Watch TV, se encenderá o apagará
tanto el televisor como el decodicador.
Además de seleccionar las combinaciones de dispositivos, las
actividades se pueden usar para congurar una combinación de
dispositivos.
Si tiene una combinación de dispositivos de las siguientes marcas,
puede usar esto para congurar fácilmente su control remoto Essential
para controlar los 3 dispositivos con solo un paso usando 3 dígitos.
La combinación de dispositivos para cada actividad es:

Para congurar la actividad Watch TV, así como los tres dispositivos
involucrados en esa actividad, el procedimiento es el siguiente:
1. Mantenga presionada la tecla de actividad que
desea congurar hasta que el LED parpadee dos
veces.
2. Ingrese el código de 3 dígitos para sus 3
dispositivos (por ejemplo, 214).
3. El LED parpadea dos veces y quedan congurados los 3
dispositivos y la actividad Watch TV.
A partir de ahora, la tecla TV controlará un televisor Sony, la tecla STB
controla un receptor de DirecTV y la tecla Audio controla una barra de
sonido Onkyo, y su actividad Watch TV combina los tres.
Puede repetirlo para las actividades Listen to Music y Watch Movie
reemplazando el segundo dígito con la marca del reproductor de
Blu-ray o la caja de transmisión, siempre que se hayan mencionado en
la lista anterior.
De lo contrario, debe usar los métodos SimpleSet o conguración por
código descritos previamente.
