The preset settings provide the recommended fabric care
for your selected cycle. O_ (_# (_#_i_/ ,_,_;,,,.,:_O_},O S _i_"1(_
You can change the preset settings by pressing the
desired pads in the Modifiers display (see step 8).
7. (OPTIONAL STEP) To select CATALYST TM cleaning action,
press the Catalyst pad. To learn how CATALYST cleaning
action works, see "Selecting Options."

CATALYST cleaning action is pre-selected in the Heavy
Duty and Whitest Whites cycles. When these cycles are
selected, the CATALYST option light glows. If CATALYST
cleaning action is not desired, you may cancel any time
before Start is pressed.
CATALYST cleaning action is automatically added to the
Quick Wash and Hand Wash cycles to help ensure the
best cleaning results. The CATALYSToption light does not
glow until after Start is pressed.
NOTE: CATALYST cleaning action cannot be canceled in
the Express Wash and Handwash cycles.
The CATALYST option can be added to any wash cycle.
8. (OPTIONAL STEP) To add an extra Rinse and Spin or an extra
Spin only to a wash cycle, press the Rinse Options pad until
the desired option glows.

9. (OPTIONAL STEP) The End of Cycle Signal is helpful when
you are washing items that should be removed from the
washer as soon as the cycle ends.

Press the pad to select a High or Low signal or to turn OFF
the End of Cycle Signal.
fO. Press Start. The wash cycle begins.The total cycle time (in
minutes) glows in the Estimated Time Remaining display.

NOTE: If you do not press Start within 5 minutes of selecting
the cycle, the washer will automatically shut off.
Pausing or restarting your washer
To pause the washer at any time, press Stop/Cancel once.

To restart the washer, close the lid and press Start.
The cycles, options, and modifiers may be changed any time
before Start is pressed. A single short tone will sound when a
selection is made. If an unavailable combination is selected, two
short tones will sound and the last selection will not be accepted.
The options and modifiers can be changed any time after Start is
pressed and before the start of the selected option and/or
modifier. Follow the progress of your wash cycle with the
Estimated Time Remaining display.
To change options and modifiers (before the event occurs)
1. Press Stop/Cancel once. This will stop the washer.
2. Select the desired option and/or modifier.
3. Press Start to restart the washer.
To cancel a cycle
1. Press Start/Cancel twice.
2. Select desired wash cycle.
3. Press Start to restart the washer at the beginning of the new
cycle.
This section describes the available wash cycles and will help
you make the best cycle selections for your wash loads. Each
cycle is designed for different types of fabric and soil levels.
Preset cycle settings provide the recommended fabric care for
your selected cycle.
For improved fabric care at water levels below medium, the
washer automatically lowers the agitation speed. This change
takes place in all cycles except Handwash Casual and Ultra
Handwash. For most loads, use the soil level (agitation time)
recommended in the preset settings.
Select more time for heavy soils and sturdy fabrics.
Select less time for light soils and delicate fabrics.
The washer pauses briefly throughout each cycle. These
pauses are normal. Refer to Normal Sounds to learn more
about the sounds you may hear during a wash cycle.
Refer to "Understanding Washer Cycles" to learn what
happens during a wash cycle.
