Finding a suitable location
Position the refrigerator away from heat and direct sunlight. For the best
performance, install in areas with an ambient temperature between 50° F
(10° C) and 110° F (43° C).
To prevent rust and to protect the electrical insulation, do not place the
refrigerator in moist areas.
Place your refrigerator in a well-ventilated indoor location. Leave at least 11.8
in. (30 cm) of space above and at least 3.9 in. (10 cm) behind and beside the
refrigerator for heat dissipation.
Make sure that the floor is flat and strong enough to support the refrigerator
when fully loaded.
Leave enough space to open the refrigerator’s doors and drawers.
Leveling your refrigerator
It is very important for the refrigerator to be level. If the refrigerator is not
leveled during installation, the doors may not close or seal properly, causing
cooling, frost, or moisture problems.
To level your refrigerator, rotate the front leveling feet clockwise (to raise) the
refrigerator or counter-clockwise (to lower).
Note: Having someone push against the top of the refrigerator helps to take some weight
off the leveling foot, making it easier to adjust.
