Reverse Switch
1. To operate the fan using the remote, press and release the following buttons (Figure 6.1):
A - Fan Off - Turns the power to fan off.
B - High Speed - Turns on fan at high speed.
C - Medium Speed - Turns on fan at medium speed.
D - Low Speed - Turns on fan at low speed.
E - Light Delay - Light Control: Dimmable Bulbs - Press light control to turn lights off and on. Press and hold light control
to dim or brighten the lights. Non-dimmable Bulbs -Turns the lights on and off. Note: The dimmer function does not work
with non-dimmable bulbs.
F - Light Delay Off mode - Press and hold the fan power button for five seconds, which will turn off light after one minute.
The LED indicator on the remote will flash four times to confirm mode setting.
G - Variable Breeze - Simulates a breeze in nature. Press and hold button to activate. Press any fan speed button to cancel.
H - Home Shield™ - Simulates occupancy while away from home. Fan remains off and the light randomly turns on for a
minimum of five times and a maximum of 20 minutes. The light remains off for 60 minutes between events. Press and
hold button to activate. Light will blink twice to confirm Home Sheild is active. Press any button to cancel.
I - LED indicator - should illuminate when any remote button is pressed. If not, replace the DC3V, CR2032 batteries.
J - LEARN button - Syncs remote to receiver (see TROUBLESHOOTING for instructions). Note: To access LEARN button,
remove battery door from back of the remote using a flat-head screwdriver.
2. Use the reverse switch located on the light kit to optimize your fan for seasonal performance. In warmer weather, push the
reverse switch left which results in downward airflow creating a wind chill effect. In cooler weather, push the reverse switch
right which results in upward airflow that will help move hot air of the ceiling (Figure 6.2). Important: Wait for the fan to stop
before moving the reverse switch located on the light kit. The reverse switch must be set either completely left or right in order
for the fan to function correctly. If the reverse switch is set in the middle position, the fan will not operate.
