9. After each starting attempt, where the engine fails to run,
always pointthe gun in asafe direction,andsqueezethe spray
guntrigger to releasehigh pressure.
10. If the enginefails to start after six pulls, move the choke lever
to the "OPEN"position, and repeatsteps 6 through 10.

producescan cutthroughskin and its underlying
tissues,leadingto seriousinjury, possibleamputation

correctlyattached.
Contact with the muffler area can result in

combustibles,structures or damage the fuel
tank causinga fire,
DONOTtouch hot parts and AVOIDhot exhaustgases.
Allow the equipmentto cool before touching.
Keepat least five (5) feet (152 cm) of clearance on all sides of the
power washer including overhead.
It is a violation of CaliforniaPublic ResourceCode, Section 4442,
to use or operatethe engineon any forest-covered,brush-covered,
or grass-covered land unlessthe exhaustsystem is equippedwith
a spark arrester,as definedin Section 4442, maintainedin effective
working order.Other statesor federaljurisdictions may havesimilar
laws.
Replacementparts must be the same and installed in the same
position as the original parts.
AUTOMATICCOOLDOWNSYSTEM(THERMAL
RELIEF)
If you runthe engineon your powerwasherfor 3-5 minuteswithout
pressingthe trigger onthe spray gun, circulatingwater in the pump
can reachtemperaturesabove125°E The system engagesto cool
the pump by discharging thewarm water ontothe ground.
ADJUSTABLEPRESSURESETTING
Yourpressurewasher pump is equippedwith a featurethat allows
you to adjust the pressure setting. The pump is preset at the
factory to achieve the highest possible pressure.To decreasethe
pressure,turn the pressure control knob counterclockwiseto the
desiredpressure.Turningthe pressurecontrolknob clockwise until
it stops will set the pressureback to the factory setting.
HOWTOSTOPYOURPOWERWASHER
1. Releasethe spray gun trigger.
2. Move the throttle control lever on the engine to the "LOW"
(turtle) position (Figure26).

3. Turnthe engineON/OFFswitch to the "OFF"position.
4. ALWAYSpoint the spray gun in a safe direction, and the
squeeze spray gun trigger to release retained high water
pressure.Engagethe trigger lock when not in use.
5. TurnOFFthe water supply.
iMPORTANT:The sprayguntraps highwater pressure,evenwhen
the engineis stopped and the water is disconnected.
