MAINTENANCE
The tool may be cleaned most effectively
with compressed dry air. Always wear
safety goggles when cleaning tools with
compressed air. Before each use:
Inspect the cordless tool and the
trigger switch for damage.
Check for damaged, missing, or worn
parts.
Check for loose screws, misalignment
or binding of moving parts, or any other
condition that may affect the operation.
If abnormal vibration or noise occurs,
turn the cordless tool off immediately,
and have the problem corrected before
further use.
WARNING:
When servicing, use
only identical replacement parts. Use of
any other parts may create a hazard or
cause product damage.
WARNING:
To avoid serious
personal injury, always remove the battery
pack from the product when cleaning or
performing any maintenance.
WARNING:
Avoid using solvents
when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics
are susceptible to damage from various
types of commercial solvents and may be
damaged by their use. Use a clean cloth to
remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The multi-tool does not work.
Battery is depleted. Charge the battery pack.
Battery or the tool is
overloaded.
Decrease the load on the
tool and then restart the tool.
Battery pack is not
installed properly.
Confirm battery is locked
and secured to the tool.
The battery or the tool is
overheated.
Cool the battery and tool,
and then restart the tool.
The motor is overheating.
Be sure the cooling vents
are free of dust and
obstacles.
Clean and clear vents. Do
not cover with hand during
operation.
The flange bolt falls out from
the tool.
The flange bolt is not
correctly installed.
Open the quick-release lever,
insert the flange bolt into the
hole, lock the flange bolt and
then turn the quick-release
lever back.
