#1 Do I have to remove my window screen in order to hook this up? My windows slide open right to left vs up and down and they are quite large (wide and tall).

My windows are the same, tall and left to right. Don't have to remove the screen.

#2 Does this ac turn off automatically when it reaches a set temperature ?

Yes, the compressor will turn off automatically when AC reaches a set temperature, but the fan will keep running.

#3 How is this unit powered? Do you plug it in to the wall?

Yes you have to plug into the wall. It has a 3 prong plug.

#4 Can it be used without a window for a small room in the middle of the building.?

You need a window. Buy an "evaporative cooler" if you don't have access to a window
