Care and cleaning of the range.
Oven Shelves and Drawer Racks
If your oven is equipped with nickel oven
shelves, they should be removed from the
oven before beginning the self-clean cycle.
To clean the nickel shelves, use an abrasive
cleanser. After cleaning, rinse the shelves with
clean water and dry with a clean cloth. If the
shelves ever become hard to slide, wipe the
shelf edges or oven shelf supports with
vegetable oil.
Oven Light Replacement
CAUTION: Before replacing your oven light
bulb, disconnect the electrical power to the
range at the main fuse or circuit breaker
panel. Be sure to let the light cover and
bulb cool completely.
The oven light bulb is covered with a
removable glass cover that is held in place
with a bail-shaped wire. Remove the oven
door, if desired, to reach cover easily.
To remove:
Hold a hand under the cover so it
doesn’t fall when released. With fingers
of the same hand, firmly push back the
wire cover holder. Lift off the cover.
Do not remove any screws to remove
the cover.
Do not touch hot bulb with a wet cloth.
Replace bulb with a 40-watt household
appliance bulb.
To replace cover:
Place it into the groove of the light
receptacle. Pull the wire forward to the
center of the cover until it snaps into
place. When in place, the wire holds the
cover firmly. Be certain the wire is in the
depression in the center of the cover.
Connect electrical power to the range.
Wire cover holder.
Oven Heating Elements
CAUTION: The unit should not be operated in
any mode with the bake element removed.
Do not clean the bake element or the broil
element. Any soil will burn off when the
elements are heated.
Only remove the oven heating element
to clean up large spills. Clean around the
elements when cleaning up small spills.
To clean the oven floor, remove the two
screws securing the bake element to the
back of the oven and remove the element.
Clean the oven floor with warm soapy water.
Replace the bake element and two screws.
