Frigidaire FPEC3085KS Questions and Answers

#1 What are the benefits of registering my Frigidaire products?

Once you have registered, you’ll receive the Frigidaire e-newsletters filled with product tips and useful information. You will also have easy access to your warranty information and product care tips.

#2 What does Smudge-Proof™ mean?

Frigidaire Smudge-Proof™ stainless steel features a proprietary protective coating that resists fingerprints and cleans easily. It’s one way our products help make kitchen maintenance virtually effortless.

#3 Where can I find my model and serial number?

The location of your model / serial number may vary, but it’s most commonly found in one of the following locations:
- Along the interior-side trim of the oven and visible when the door is opened
- On the left-side panel and visible when the door is opened
- On the front frame of the storage / warmer drawer panel and visible when the drawer is opened.

#4 How do I use my display or controls?

Since our products may vary by model, please reference your Owner’s Manual for more information. You will find easy steps for topics such as: How to set your clock or timer, temperature settings and child lock.

#5 Why does my surface element appear to go on and off on my ceramic glass cooktop?

Radiant elements have a limiter that allows the element to cycle ON and OFF, even on the HI setting.
Cycling at the HI setting is normal and will occur more often if the cookware is too small for the radiant element or if the cookware bottom is not flat. The element will retain enough heat to provide a uniform and consistent heat during the off cycle.

#6 How do I clean stainless steel?

For stainless steel models, we recommend using Frigidaire ReadyClean Stainless Steel cleaner. It provides streak-free shine, protective coating repels dust and dirt, and gently cleans tough stains. Wipe with the grain to prevent scratching. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using.

#7 What type of cookware should I use on my ceramic/glass cooktop surface?

The cookware material can impact how evenly and quickly heat is transferred from the surface element on your ceramic / glass cooktop to the bottom of the cookware.
Here are some helpful tips regarding the most popular cookware materials:
1. Aluminum - Excellent heat conductor. Some types of food will cause the cookware to darken. If aluminum pans slide across the ceramic/glass cooktop, they may leave metal marks which will resemble scratches. You will want to try and remove immediately.
2. Copper - Excellent heat conductor but discolors easily.Stainless - Slow heat conductor with uneven cooking results. It is durable, easy to clean and resists staining.
3. Cast Iron - A slow heat conductor however it retains heat very well. Cooks evenly once desired temperature is reached. Not recommended for use on ceramic/glass cooktops.
4. Porcelain - enamel on metal - Heating characteristics will vary depending on base material. Coating must be smooth to avoid scratching cooktop.
5. Glass - Slow heat conductor. Not recommended for ceramic/glass cooktop surfaces because it may scratch the glass. If you're inquiring about an Induction cooktop surface, please go here
