Thisdryerisequippedforusewithnaturalgas.Itiscertiedby
UL for use with propane gas with appropriate conversion. No
attemptshallbemadetoconvertdryerfromgasspeciedon
serial/ratingplateforusewithadierentgaswithoutconsulting
theservinggassupplier.Conversionmustbedonebyaqualied
service technician.
Gas conversion kit part numbers are listed on gas valve
burner base.

GAS SUPPLY CONNECTION
Recommended Method
Provideagassupplylineof1/2"(13mm)rigid(IPS)pipe
to dryer location. Pipe joint compounds that resist action
of propane gas must be used. Do not use TEFLON
®†
tape.
Withpropanegas,pipingortubingsizecanbe1/2"(13mm)
minimum. Usually, propane gas suppliers determine size and
materials used in the system.
Gas Supply Pressure Testing
A1/8"NPTminimumpluggedtapping,accessibleforgauge
testing, must be installed immediately downstream of the
installedshut-ovalvetothedryer(asshownabove).Thedryer
must be disconnected from the gas supply piping system during
any pressure testing of the system at test pressures in excess of
1/2"psig(352kg/m
2
).
Alternate Method
Thegassupplymayalsobeconnectedusing3/8"(10mm)
approved copper or aluminum tubing. If the total length of
the supply line is more than 20 ft. (6.1 m), larger tubing will
be required.
If using natural gas, do not use copper tubing. Pipe joint
compounds that resist action of type of gas supplied must
be used.
Shut-off valve required
Thesupplylinemustbeequippedwithamanualshut-o
valve installed within 6 ft. (1.8 m) of dryer in accordance
with National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1. This valve should
be located in same room as dryer. It should be in a location
that allows ease of opening and closing. Do not block access
toshut-ovalve.
Gas Supply Line
Flexible Metal Appliance Connector
Itisrecommendedthatanewexiblestainlesssteelgasline,
design-certiedbyCSAInternational,beusedforconnecting
the dryer to the gas supply line. (The gas pipe which extends
throughthelowerrearofthedryerisprovidedwith3/8"male
pipe thread.)
NOTE:Donotkinkordamagetheexiblestainlesssteelgasline
when moving the dryer.
Rigid Pipe Connection
Therigidpipeconnectionrequiresacombinationofpipettings
to obtain an in-line connection to the dryer.
