When the camera is held still (as when shooting from a tripod), you should
set image stabilization to [Off] to deactivate it.

Access the setting screen.
z Press the [ ] button, choose [IS
Settings] on the [ 4] tab, and then press
the [ ] button (

Congure the setting.
z Press the [ ][ ] buttons or turn the
[ ] dial to choose [IS Mode], press the
[ ] button, and then press the [ ][ ]
buttons or turn the [ ] dial to choose the
desired option (

31).
Continuous
Optimal image stabilization for the shooting conditions is
automatically applied (Intelligent IS) (
=
40).
Off Deactivates image stabilization.
Checking for Closed Eyes
Still Images
Movies
[ ] is displayed when the camera detects that people may have closed
their eyes.

Congure the setting.
z Press the [ ] button, choose [Blink
Detection] on the [ 7] tab, and then
choose [On] (

Shoot.
z [ ] ashes when the camera detects a
person whose eyes are closed.
z To restore the original setting, choose
[Off] in step 1.
When you have specied multiple shots in [ ] mode, this
function is only available for the nal shot.
A frame is displayed around people whose eyes are closed when
you have selected [2 sec.], [4 sec.], [8 sec.], or [Hold] in [Display
Time] (

This feature is not available during continuous shooting in [
