USING THE CONVERTA DRAWER
• The Converta Drawer is the upper drawer that is
equipped with an adjustable temperature control.
• The Converta Drawer has three adjustable
temperature settings: FROZEN FOOD, SOFT
FREEZE and FRESH FOOD.
Press and hold the SELECT button for three
seconds to change the setting, as indicated below:

NOTE: While the temperature is changing from
its current level to a new set temperature,
the ADJUSTING TEMP light will illuminate.
It will go off when the new SET TEMPERATURE
is reached.
wCAUTION
•
Do not store glass bottles in the Converta Drawer
while in the FROZEN FOOD or SOFT FREEZE
setting.
• Do not store ice cream in the Converta Drawer
while in the SOFT FREEZE or FRESH FOOD
setting.
• Do not store fruit and vegetables in the Converta
Drawer while in the FROZEN FOOD or SOFT
FREEZE setting.
• It is not recommended to keep meat or fish in the
Converta Drawer for more than five days in the
SOFT FREEZE setting. Maximum storage period
may vary depending on initial food condition.
FROZEN FOOD (from -6°F to 8°F)
• When the Converta Drawer is in the FROZEN
FOOD setting, the temperature in the drawer will be
the same as the temperature in the freezer. Adjust
the Converta Drawer temperature by adjusting the
freezer temperature.
NOTE: The FROZEN FOOD setting is intended to be
used as a freezer.
SOFT FREEZE (23°F)
• When the Converta Drawer is in the SOFT FREEZE
setting, the temperature is set to 23°F(-5°C) and
cannot be adjusted.
NOTE: The SOFT FREEZE setting will partially
freeze foods to allow for quicker thawing. This setting
is intended for foods that are to be used within five to
seven days.
FRESH FOOD (37°F)
• When the Converta Drawer is in the FRESH FOOD
setting, the temperature is set to 37°F (3°C) and
cannot be adjusted.
NOTE: The FRESH FOOD section is intended to be
used the same way as the refrigerator compartment.
